About Laura Michael Wines
Laura Michael Wines, named for owners Laura and Michael Swanton, is a boutique winery specialized in limited production, premium red wines. Located in Napa Valley, they’ve become award-winning Zinfandel and Cabernet producers. Laura in particular has managed all the winemaking processes since 1999, taking part in all stages. At the core, she intends to learn everything about anything wine-related to further improve the creation of their fine wines.

TASTING NOTES:
“Just south of the estate, by about 3 miles, we find Barlow Vineyards from whom we source delicious cabernet sauvignon. The color profile is a gorgeous ruby red while the nose is dominated by dark ripe fruits with a hint of tobacco – plus raspberry, Bing cherry and dark chocolate. Full bodied with rich, chewy tannins that will open up with decanting to drink now or will age well in your cellar.“ (AbV 13.6/13.7%)

Callisto, aka Jupiter IV, is the second-largest moon of Jupiter and the third-largest moon in the solar system. Of course, the largest moon of Jupiter and the solar system is Ganymede, but Callisto is #1 in terms of something: craters! The surface of Callisto is the oldest and most cratered surface in the solar system. It is quite literally completely covered in craters. In addition to this, the moon shows no signs of geological activity ever having occurred. No plate tectonics, no volcanism, no nothin’. There might be an ocean underneath the surface too. But for now, we do not know.
