October 4th, 1969! CBS airs “Mine Your Own Business,” the 4th episode of Scooby-Doo: Where Are You!’s first season. Because Shaggy had the map upside down, the gang are lost somewhere in California, and not in one of the fancy and/or populated parts. They end up in Gold City, a fictional ghost town that used to be on a popular mine back during the 1849 gold rush. All that’s left there now is an old guest ranch run by Big Ben and Hank that’s seen better days. Hank warns them about a ghost known as the Miner Forty-Niner who’s been scaring people away from the mine, which supposedly cries out to the miner in the dead of night.
