Zinfandel With a Cause

TASTING NOTES:
Merlot - “The aromas bring thoughts of fresh Bing cherry, raspberry, and strawberry combined with slight notes of vanilla and leather. It is medium bodied, with nice layers of berry fruit, soft approachable tannins, and earthy structure with a good finish from balanced acidity…”

Zinfandel - “The aromas are fruit forward with candied raspberry and strawberry mixed with darker fresh fruits and subtle vanilla undertones. The wine has a full body with flavors of bright red raspberry, and cherry blended with jammy strawberry and a coco powder finish.”

Cabernet - “The aromas have characteristics of blackberry, cassis, and plum; with elements of vanilla and cedar. The wine has a fuller body with flavors of darker fruits coupled with peppercorn, clove and anise, which lend an earthier profile that is balanced and has a long finish.”

Pinot Noir - “The aromas begin with raspberry and blackberry bramble, mixed with vanilla bean, and clove. The entry is filled with crisp acidity and flavors of raspberry, strawberry and cranberry. The medium body gives way to spicier notes of fresh sage, dried thyme and coriander.”

Rebel Without a Cause was a 1955 movie starring James Dean, Natalie Wood, and Sal Mineo. One of the first to be filmed using CinemaScope lenses, the film followed three teenagers disillusioned with their environment and the changing morals between generations. James Dean would later die that same year in an automobile accident.
