TASTING NOTES:
“Extremely balanced, with light grainy tannins, nice length, and a full body. A spicy nose of bay leaves, rose petals, white pepper, coriander, and anise opens up to a mouth full of raspberry brambles and strawberry-rhubarb pie. Accented with hints of ripe stone-fruit, red currants, and vanilla.” (AbV 14.3%, pH 3.82, TA 6.5 g/L, 0.66 g/L)

TANGENTIALLY RELATED FACT to help you make conversation over this wine:
The phrase “peachy-keen” appears to have been coined in the late 1940’s by a DJ in LA named Jim Hawthorne. Jim was somewhat bored of the position, feeling more like a jukebox than a radio host, so he decided to just go all-in. He started riffing on tracks, added in non-sequiturs and told jokes, and other weird interjections. Some of his favorite phrases were peachy-keen and, its variant, oh-so-peachy-keen. Young people started emulating him.

Peaches would be too obvious. So I guess with a keen, which would mean “a lamentation for the dead uttered in a loud wailing voice or sometimes in a wordless cry.”
