TASTING NOTES: “This a tribute to the famed Pope Valley Sauvignon Blanc, arguably the best known grape of the region. The bouquet is a complex symphony of flinty slate, fresh green apple, beeswax, and white spring flowers. The palate is full and creamy with delectable flavors of honey, pineapple and guava leaving a lingering finish with a kiss of oak.” (AbV 13.6%, pH 3.56, TA 5.8 g/L, RS 0.5 g/L)

THAT REMINDS ME OF: “Kiss Me, I’m Irish!”

Why? Why?

Well, it seems like it came from the Blarney Stone, for some reason. I guess the Blarney Stone just became synonymous with the Irish people sometime in the 19th or 20th century. I mean, sure, it’s been around for centuries, but the myth really spread over time. And therefore, by association, since kissing the stone gives you luck, kissing an Irish person gives you luck? Probably only on St. Patrick’s Day, too. That’s when they sell all those shirts. You always need to add some kind of limitation there, otherwise it’d be just plain silly!
