TASTING NOTES:
Russian River - “This Chardonnay has flavors of pear, apple, honey, vanilla, cinnamon spice and ripe melon. The richly textured palate and complexity in the wine lead to a well rounded balanced finish.“ (AbV 14.8%)

Carneros - “This Chardonnay has floral aromas accented by citrus, pineapple, pear and vanilla. This wine has vibrant acidity and freshness of the palate. The wine is bright, and the flavors of pear, apple, vanilla, and honeysuckle show the complexity of this wine. This wine is balanced, and its flavors leave a lasting impression on the palate.” (AbV 14.8%)

BARRELS:
9-10 months in French oak, 60% new (Russian River), and a mix of stainless steel and barrels (Carneros)

Did anyone else think the phrase, “In for a penny, in for a pound,” referred to the measurement? As in the penny is a light object and the pound is comparatively heavier?

Well, it refers to the English pound sterling. Because, as it turns out, whether you owed a penny or a pound, the punishment for not paying is identical. Gotta get out of that Ameri-concentric mental box.
