TASTING NOTES:
“On the nose, the 2016 Prohibido Pinot Noir opens itself little by little with aromas of dark cherry and a bit of vanilla. On the palate, you can still taste the dark cherries with some bright acid. The texture of the Pinot is smooth and this is an easy drinking wine.“ ( AbV 14.4%, pH 3.72, Free SO2 16%)

So the term “pros and cons” is pretty well known. And it seems pretty self-explanatory. “Pro” feels inherently good and “con” feels inherently bad. But did anyone else think that “con” there was short for “consequences” or was I the only one? Because I thought about it and said to myself today, “Wait, what is ‘pro’ short for then?”

Of course, “cons” isn’t short for consequences. Pros and cons is actually a hack-job half-translation of the Latin phrase “pro et contra.” The more you know.
