TASTING NOTES:
Petit Verdot - Aromas of boysenberry, red apple, and anise. Elderberry, fig, dried bay leaf, black licorice on the tongue with long, soft finish. (AbV 13.9%)

Petite Sirah - Aromas of dried plums, leather and green peppercorn. Blackberry, juicy plum, and black licorice on the tongue with lingering tannins and a bright, acidic finish. (AbV 14.8%)

TANGENTIALLY RELATED FACT to help you make conversation over this wine:
So, most people probably associate the phrase “tally ho” with the British, and that is fair, but the phrase was likely a variation of a French word. Existing since at least 1772, the word taïaut was used to ready hounds for hunting. This word, in turn, was likely created as a contraction of taille haut, which literally translates to blades up/high. All-in-all, it makes sense, as you are essentially readying the hounds for hunting similar to how you ready a sword for combat.
