About Tin Barn Vineyards
On the ridges of the Sonoma Coast and off of Tin Barn Road, Tin Barn Vineyards is a hidden treasure in Sonoma County. Winemaker Michael Lancaster and his partners have set up shop in this rural spot and joined up with other winemakers to create a collective called Eighth Street Wineries. Although the vineyard itself is primarily Syrah, the winery has produced varied offerings from other vineyards since its founding.

TASTING NOTES:
“Consistent with previous vintages, this Zinfandel displays a deep garnet color, lush velvety mouthfeel, and long seductive finish… On the eastern edge of the Russian River Valley lies a stretch of sandy loam soil, which was planted with Zinfandel (St. George rootstock) back in 1950. This well-established site exposes our fruit to a cool morning fog that slows its ripening and concentrates its flavors.” (AbV 15.7%, pH 3.45, TA 8.7 g/L)

Created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi, under the pen name Hergé, The Adventures of Tintin is a series of 24 Franco-Belgian comics. By 2007, it was published in 70 languages with more than 200 million copies sold, in addition to multiple adaptations. Originally a serialized comic strip in a youth supplement to a Belgian newspaper, its success led to it being picked up by Belgium’s leading newspaper, which in turn spun off into a whole Tintin magazine. The series follows a young reporter named Tintin and his dog Snowy as they go on adventures and solve crimes all over the place. His most common adventuring companions are the brash drunkard Captain Haddock, inventor Cuthbert Calculus, doofus detectives Thomson and Thompson, and opera singer Bianca Castafiore, who can shatter glass with her voice.
