About Some of the Wineries…
Canoe Ridge Vineyard, founded in 1989 in the Horse Heaven Hills, has focused on Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay for the majority of their existence, becoming one of Washington’s most recognized wineries. Named after a ridge by the vineyard along the Columbia River.

The Huntsman. Pursuing the top vineyards of Columbia Valley like their prey, they’ve got their eyes on the prize, and that prize is their Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Guide Wine Company is driven by wine expert Phil Hurst’s constant curiosity and exploration of grapes from around the world. Grapes are collected and brought back to the winery to make some intriguing limited production wines. Of course, this one is from the exotic locale of Columbia Valley.

Clove White and The Huntsman

TASTING NOTES:
The Guide - “Opening with inviting aromas of cherry, cocoa and leather, this wine leads to a silky palate that is layered with vanilla clove. This well-structured wine leaves developed cedar and lingering fruit on the finish.” (AbV 13.0%, pH 3.90, TA 5.82 g/L)

The Huntsman - “Aromas of cassis, black raspberry and minerals are followed by full and complex flavors of licorice and ripe plum. Dried blueberry, strawberry jam and a touch of cocoa on the nose lead to concentrated dark red fruit flavors of freeze-dried raspberry, black plum, and strawberry lozenge on the palate. The finish is long and round with lingering notes of black licorice, clove and cocoa.” (AbV 13.5%)

Canoe Ridge - “Wonderful aromas of blackberries and black currants on the nose, with some baking spice and cedar notes from the oak. The tannins are soft and integrated, and the wine finishes with ripe berry fruit on the palate.” (AbV 13.95%, pH 3.74, TA 5.78 g/L)
