About Chateau Bianca
Headed by winemaker Andreas Wetzel along with the rest of the Wetzel family, Chateau Bianca can be found on Butler Hill outside Dallas, Oregon. Established about twenty-five years ago, they’ve always prized quality over quantity. Andreas’ winemaking heritage began with his great-grandfather, a winemaker from Wurzburg, Germany. But for the last 35 years, his family has been a part of the Oregon wine community. With knowledge passed down through four generations of winemakers, Chateau Bianca’s been able to churn out some prize-winning Pinots.

Quetzalcoatl was a prominent deity in Mesoamerican cultures, first documented in the first century BC (or AD), who grew in popularity around 600 BC up until the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs in the 16th century. A feathered serpent, Quetzalcoatl was a representative of both the heavens (the feathers) and the earth (the snake), and governed wind, air, and learning.

His twin brother was Xolotl, one of the gods of death, and together, they were associated with Venus as both the morning star (Quetzalcoatl) and the evening star (Xolotl).
