About Steele Wines
All about minimalism, Steele forgoes additives and uses natural fermentations along with non-GMO yeasts. A combination of gentle pumpover, inert gas, and gravity flow ensures the wine makes it through fermentation without harming the fresh aromas and flavors. Along with their Steele label, they produce Shooting Star label wines, focused on uncommon varietals and specific appellations that should be enjoyed while young.

WINE STYLE & TASTING NOTES:
“Winemaker Quincy Steele’s experiences working in Argentina inform this wine and its style. Native yeast fermentation, extended macerations, and cooler fermentation temperatures give him as much control as possible with respect to extracting. Aged in French, Hungarian and American oak (equal parts, although only 15% new). Aromas and flavors are very pronounced ripe red berry and black fruit, and spice with medium acid and moderate tannins.” (AbV 13.5%, pH 3.74, TA 0.66 g/100mL)

Airing November 16th and November 17th in 1992, “Heart of Steel” was a two-part Batman: The Animated Series episode in its first season. After someone leaves a robot disguised as a briefcase at Wayne Enterprises that steals microchips. The chips are an early iteration of “wetware,” or an artificial brain, and their theft it traced back to a place known as Cybertron Industries (no relation to Transformers). There, a HAL 9000-like super computer named HARDAC is being developed. Batman dates a robot, Commissioner Gordon gets replaced by one, and there is naturally a self-destruct sequence.
