4I saw something on CaseMates Instagram page about deals @Winedavid49 will be rolling out for the 10 days of Christmas. My wallet might not be able to make it until Christmas! Anyone have any details???

Hope it comes in time for xmas. Hopefully I get warning of when it will be delivered so my spouse doesn’t see that I bought stuff…

Good to know! I think this was asked but don’t recall an answer. Is there a different gift if someone purchases the minimum amount vs the maximum amount of bottles? Not that that would in and of itself change how many bottles I buy, but I am curious!!!?!!

Looks like we may need two shipping addresses on file; one for sig required, and one for the normal stuff. Stuff over on gourmet is encountering the same shipping. I sure don’t want perishable items languishing in some facility until I can make time to go fetch them.
@rjquillin @Winedavid49 agreed that seems the most “reasonable”. David, when you ship rat bottles what address are you going to use? The one we used to sign up for the program? (most likely residential) or the one we recently used for UPS holds?

I got 2 gifts so far, one separate, one in the box and I am very very pleased with both of them. I think I have one more coming in another case. Got the 2nd today and of course hubby is off work so I couldn’t hide the wine before he usually gets home. Is amazing how many bottles I can fit in the oddest places

@Winedavid49 I didn’t much care about a gift, although I’m deeply jealous of those that received the Balsamic Vinegar. What I received (delivered in a separate box, with a million styrofoam peanuts) was a large decanter with a small Casemates on the front.
I already have three or four decanters, and initially thought about taking it to the local second hand store, but there’s that label on the front that makes it fit only a narrow range of people. It’s very stylish, with a modern art style to it (but no cap, which means it’s out for long term storage for such things as Port or Sherry). I thought that it might be that the Casemates logo was just a decal, but it’s definitely part of the bottle, probably added after the original firing.
(BTW, no, I don’t really need the vinegar. There’s very little I’d use it with.)
Pity I don’t live near any Casemates folks. I could just give it to someone. It’s a nice, solid piece, and I won’t toss it in the glass recycle.
BTW, I’d be content to drop the VMP, and just let you charge more for shipping, especially if I got to choose which shipper (usually Fedex, but UPS is still okay in some months).
I love Casemates, no matter what. I’ve learned that blends are only okay to buy (for me) if the winemaker is already well known to me, and I really value the commentary from those familiar with a wine. In some cases, I’ve purchased something purely on trust (and been happy that I did so).
(I wrote a novella, but I’m leaving it as is. :-})

@karenhynes @rjquillin Fill it with epoxy or some such thing? A clean chip won’t spread or cause little glass bits to fall out into your wine glass.

We use them when we want a stemless, for sure. Usually once every couple of weeks, to the point where the dishwasher has started to erode the screen printing. The only thing I wish was that they had a cut rim instead of a rolled rim. Things to think about for the next batch, WD!

Salted chocolates with one case…and more salted chocolates with another case (with a Casemates logo’d beanie). Probably don’t need another decanter or bottle opener, but coveting that vinegar (we used up the last bottle)!
@mwfielder I bought a bottle of the bottle over the summer, but i still haven’t opened it. My old bottle of grocery store plonk is still hanging around, and i’d rather finish that first.
Received my case of pedroncelli today. Salted Dark chocolate caramels was the gift included. Dont know if i have another gift shipped separately, but a decanter would be nice, lol.
I also received the Dark Chocolate Salted Caramels inside my case of Pedroncelli. I’ve already eaten 2 and opened one of the bottles of wine–it’s been that kind of day. I heard that random “what was that” kind of noise only to find the contents of 2 clothes rods full of close on the floor after forcing the door to my closet open…seems the closet maid brackets let go. I have clothes everywhere now (well except in the closet) and had to run out to Home Depot. At this point the chocolates are going to be my dinner, so I guess that worked out. They are very good BTW.

I got the vinegar, chocolates and one of those a ha openers. Giving one away as I already have 3. Friend is getting some older wine so they’ll need it.
I never had good balsamic. I thought what I had from the local store was decent. Little did I know. I am now ruined.
OMG that stuff is good. Opened it last night and drizzled over curly endive and licked some off my fingers.

@rjquillin My case and gift were both shipped “Second Day Air (Error)” on the 19th. At 6am on the 21st both were in my city, but not out for delivery. I guess I am glad they didn’t tease me, and say it was on the truck and I stayed home for no reason. By 9pm on Monday.
