Blanc de Noirs NV: 90 Points & Top 100 - Wine Spectator
French for “white of black”, Blanc de Noirs describes a sparkling wine made from Pinot Noir grapes, by pressing them gently and running the pale juice over the skins.
Pale Salmon in color, the Blanc de Noirs has aromas of berry and pear, complemented by a rich, round mouthfeel on the palate. It finishes with a layer of cream and pleasant, warm toastiness. Incredibly versatile with all styles of food!
Gruet Sauvage NV:
Gruet Sauvage NV is a bone-dry sparkler, pale straw in color with a delicate but persistent mousse. The aromas of bright mineral and citrus notes tickle the nose followed by touches of green apple, lemon, and grapefruit. The finish is structured, flavorful and long. The bright acidity makes this wine a perfect pairing for oysters, sushi and cream sauces.
Gruet Brut NV: 90 Points & Top 100 - Wine Spectator
Brut NV was our first wine released in 1989. As the predominant grape used in Champagne, “We wanted our first sparkling wine to express the finesse of Chardonnay”- Laurent Gruet. More than twenty years later, our Brut NV remains our flagship sparkling wine for both quality and price.
Wonderful aromas of green apple and citrus with mineral notes make for a delightful start to this traditional sparkler. Our Brut NV offers bright, crisp acidity complimented by a touch of yeast on the delightfully long finish. A classic house style!

I have purchased this numerous times. Great sparkling wine to have on hand at a daily drinker price point. All 3 styles are good QPR by my standards. It is a bit more, $15 for the case, than the last two offers (12/19, and 08/19), but still a good value. Interesting though, as my email has been flooded with offers where wine prices are typically much lower than prior sales.
@pseudogourmet98@Winedavid49 I don’t mind. The state store here in PA charges 18 to 25 for these, so it’s still a deal, especially while they’re still shut down for virus reasons. I’d murder for a good margarita or sake at this point.
Get this every time it’s up. Only a few bottles left and we’ll be celebrating a new baby next week, so we’ll both (especially her) be jonesing for some bubbles over the next few months. Perfect timing.
I would love, love, love a case or two, but no Ohio shipping. This isn’t new, in the past I Wootlegged a case to a NY wine lover. I’ve been to their tasting room in Santa Fe and loved their still wines too!
For those that live in states that allow shipping you should buy this wine based on one of Gruet’s slogans alone. On signs in their tasting room, and on apparel it reads “Kiss French, Drink American.” Who can say no to that?!!!
We opened a Sauvage earlier today. Crisp and tasty as always. Finished the evening (and the bottle), as my husband made me a French 75. My favorite cocktail.
autobuy. in for a case, have been waiting for this! casemates/meh/morningsave providing some much needed good news (and booze!) in this crazy time of coronavirus.

@pseudogourmet98 @Winedavid49 this wine is a good deal at retail. Just gotta decide if I need this, or save three money for that Scott Harvey Barbera
@pseudogourmet98 @Winedavid49
How might a different selection pencil out?
I’ve still got most of these and could use some variety.
@pseudogourmet98 @rjquillin good point, but this is such a staple…
