Wonderful aromas of green apple and citrus with mineral notes make for a delightful start to this traditional sparkler. The Brut NV offers bright, crisp acidity complimented by a touch of yeast on the delightfully long finish. A classic house style!
Brut NV was the first wine released in 1989. As the predominant grape used in Champagne, “We wanted our first sparkling wine to express the finesse of Chardonnay”- Laurent Gruet. More than twenty years later, the Brut NV remains Gruet’s flagship sparkling wine for both quality and price.
French for “white of black”, Blanc de Noirs describes a sparkling wine made from Pinot Noir grapes, by pressing them gently and running the pale juice over the skins.
Pale Salmon in color, the Blanc de Noirs has aromas of berry and pear, complimented by a rich, round mouth feel on the palate. It finishes with a layer of cream and pleasant, warm toastiness. Incredibly versatile with all styles of food!
Gruet Sauvage Rosé NV 90 Points, Tasting Panel Gold Medal, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Wild. Raw. Savage. Untamed since 1989. Gruet Sauvage Rosé is for the sparkling connoisseur who appreciates bone dry acidity.
With zero dosage, Sauvage Rosé’s vibrant fruit flavors of wild strawberry and hint of cherry really shine on the nose and palate and are complemented by bright acidity.

Gruet falls under the Precept Wines umbrella. They are considered a mega-producer because of all the brands they own. Thus, DTC sales not allowed to Ohioans. Yes, it is sad.
@pmarin Agreed. It would be nice if our UPS driver would stop delivering our packages to someone else. There’s a house with the same number one block over, he seriously misdelivered three separate times in the last two weeks. Including a case of wine!
All three of these are very solid daily drinkers, and for the price you do not feel bad mixing in a bit of juice! But, I recommend just drinking the Sauvage Rosé, it’s great and bone dry. If we weren’t stocked up on Gruet we would be in for a case!
Only drank 1/2 of the last 6, will pass as the BunnyDen is maxed out in carrot juice! It is delicious and I would buy if I was not up to my neck already!
Dang it, I literally snoozed and loozed. Totally forgot to come back to grab this. This weather has been so amazing I got distracted by, well, I think it was actual joy. Erk.
Got mine today. Back to Styrofoam. I don’t mind this as much as some people, but the top end of the bottles had punched a hole in the foam 3 times. Wine is fine, hope everyone gets theirs intact.
@Springbank Got mine today as well along with the case of SH Zin we’re splitting. This was in foam and the SH was in cardboard. Who knows anymore - at least these boxes weren’t missing bottles like some of my previous few…
@winedavid49 (mod edit)
I wanted to check back in to say that I really enjoyed all three of these. I’m not huge on sparkling in general - my wife loves them so I thought we’ve give the variety a try.
For us, the rose’ is the least exciting of the three, but it’s perfectly fine. The other two are interesting in a very good way. These have been real crowd-pleasers.
Has anyone had any issues with bad bottles? I opened two of the rose Sauvage this weekend and both bottles were bad, tasted sour and had excessive carbonation. I normally autobuy the max quantity on Gruet, but this has me a little concerned…

@KNmeh7 @ttboy23 The lack of Ohio is really sad. Constantly.

@drhellknow maybe I should bring extras??
Only three left from last time, so blammo!
I don’t buy much from Casemates, but when I do it tends to be sparklers. In for a case

How much more are you saving by buying a full case?

Auto buy!
Yeah, auto buy for me too, especially with summertime approaching.
/giphy handsome-chatty-robin
I passed the last time. In for a case!
/giphy defeated-picturesque-body
I still have most of the last case of this I bought but I’m probably in for another case anyway.
Autobuy for sure. I haven’t had the Rose sparkler, but I love the others. Fantastic deal.
/giphy pensive-capable-crib
Well then! We just finished the last sparkling wine from the stash, so I guess it’s time to restock.
/giphy misanthropic-popular-cider
@neuroticsilence perfect giphy.
except for the UPS guy delivering wine. they are welcome anytime as long as they bring wine.
@pmarin Agreed. It would be nice if our UPS driver would stop delivering our packages to someone else. There’s a house with the same number one block over, he seriously misdelivered three separate times in the last two weeks. Including a case of wine!
Heh, nice idea!
Sadly Indiana is also not on the list for what is typically an autobuy!
yep. send me some!
/giphy chubby-catty-division
@pmarin replying to to my own giphy so it doesn’t change. that is a classic. and she moves much better than I could!
A day short of a year since I last bought a Gruet threesome, but I haven’t tried the sparkling rose - looking forward to it.
/giphy nimble-unqualified-feet
@rpstrong I think you will like the rose. but then again, I like feet. though not in a creepy way. not that there’s anything wrong with that,
@pmarin No, nothing wrong with feet:
“Do we have room in the apt for 12 bottles?”
“Why would we need room? It’s not for decoration.”

/giphy wishful-extreme-blood
Yep, Autobuy…was debating 6 or 12…in for a case!
/giphy horrified-spiffy-rat
In for six… My white/rose small fridge is pretty full no room for a case.
/giphy frightening-casual-kingfisher
Wow! No NJ again!

Bought 6 on the pre-new year’s deal. I used this to show off my sabrage skills on new year’s eve and toast the inauguration. In for a case.

@pupator try the rosé with a bbq pulled pork sandwich. That’ll change your tune I’ll bet!
