Tasting Notes
Brut NV was our first wine released in 1989. As the predominant grape used in Champagne, we wanted our first sparkling wine “to express the finesse of Chardonnay.” -Laurent Gruet
Aromas of green apple, citrus, and minerality make for a delightful start to this traditional sparkler. Our Brut NV offers bright, crisp acidity complimented by a touch of yeast on the delightfully long finish. A classic house style!

Tasting Notes
Our Rose NV was first released in 2004 under limited production. The wine’s color and taste was inspired from sparkling Rosés from around the world. The wine is made in the “Saignee” method by adding 2% still pinot noir to the blend to create the beautiful garnet pink color.
A beautiful garnet in color, this Rosé NV has a delicate, fine mousse and rich, fruit flavors. This full-bodied sparkler starts with floral and berry aromas which introduce flavors of cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry, finishing delicately with zesty acidity.
Founded in 1984, Gruet Winery specializes in Methode Champenoise sparkling wines. Family-owned and run, the New Mexico-based winery produces Pinot Noir and Chardonnay-based sparkling wines and a small collection of still wines, with roots originating from Gilbert Gruet’s Champagne house in Bethon, France. More than 25 vintages later, Gruet Winery has achieved unprecedented acclaim and remains a favorite of the nation’s top sommeliers.

@kawichris650@klezman I’ve been drinking Pinot Nair regularly. It’s a lil’ thick but delicious. The cheaper hair cuts help offset the cost of purchasing the wine.
@gatwood Me too. Something’s not right. I can bring up my order with the correct name, address, charge card, but cannot order. Too bad, as this is an autobuy for moi.
The problem seems to be that no matter whether I choose the 6 or 12 selection, no price can be determined, and no order placed.

Gruet Mixed Sparkling Wines - $10 = 6.66%
OH has changed its laws to allow DTC shipments from mega-producers like Precept Wines (Gruet’s parent company). Too bad they haven’t yet gotten the memo.
With Gruet, I just skip right to the Buy button. I’m afraid to look at how much of this I already have on hand, but it’s always nice to have more. We’ll be having a long hot summer here in SoCal, and this seems to help.
@vwsmaltz You might want to subscribe to the “Case Savings vs Smaller Allotment” thread. You will usually receive notification of new offerings earlier, as @chipgreen usually updates it soon after an offer goes live.
@vwsmaltz The standard practice is they email between day 1 and day 2 except for Friday one day offers, which they email out that morning. Pretty rare for things to sell out on day 1 of two day offers.
@winedavid49, this is my second in as many deliveries that the package was not closed. Today, the bottom of the box has its tape removed entirely. Miraculously, no carnage, but I attribute that to a well bribed delivery driver Just wanted to give a heads up. Should I report to UPS?
I can attest this is a true story as my two cases arrived in Miami with NO BOTTOM TAPE on the box! It’s a miracle it arrived in tact - IMO the styrofoam internal case is the only reason it held up, this was clearly the result of poor packing.

Gruet does not ship to my state, but IH does. My wallet just gave a huge sigh of relief.

I’m trying to buy, but it doesn’t seem to actually add the bottles to my “cart”.

@rjquillin
Yes, Precept
@chipgreen
IO!
Been running a bit low on Gruet from the last couple of offers. This is as close to an instant buy as it gets for me.
Auto. Need some everyday sparkling and this does the trick!
Last Gruets were amazingly good. This is kind of a no-brainer, even though I have a bit of sparkling still around… but, Summer approaches.

I really hate that I get the email for this event at 1am (EDT) on 4/24 when it’s been ongoing all day….

We would get this if we weren’t on the road. Luckily we are spending this week in Santa Fe NM where they have a tasting room.

And I was getting low on bubbly - maybe some Savage next time?
