Introducing the new look of our Friends Red!
The next generation of packaging for our red wine blend features a modernized logo, look, and style from the friendly fellow balanced on a wine barrel toasting friends (inspired by founder Giovanni Pedroncelli) to the quote by Ann Fairbairn, “There must be always wine and fellowship or we are truly lost.” We have created this wine to be a conversation starter or worthy of a chat over a meal. We invite folks to carry on the tradition of including wine on the table with friends.
The blend puts all the best characteristics together. The friendly combination of these complementary grapes, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon, contributes their own unique personalities. It shows in the flavor, structure and balance of the three combined.
Winemaker Tasting Notes
From the fruity aromas to the lingering finish, this approachable red wine showcases the best of the blend. Aromas of cherry, black plum, and warm spice are appealing. Smooth tannins and light toasty oak notes frame the cherry, plum, and vanilla flavors. It is a medium-bodied, balanced wine with a fruit-forward finish and is made in a ready-to-drink style, with no additional aging required. Pairs well with your glass, pizza, a burger, or BBQ chicken.

It all began in 1927 when John Pedroncelli, Sr. purchased a vineyard and a small winery west of Geyserville; two elements have remained unchanged since then - the exceptional place the Pedroncelli family farms their vineyards and their dedication to creating fine wines.
For nine decades, the Pedroncelli family has been producing wines of the highest quality, tradition and heritage. Their commitment to excellence and their family-run business make them a trusted source of great wines - enjoy them with confidence.

Quick question. Last year I ordered two cases of bottled cheer. Came with a coupon. Was I supposed to get two coupons, one for each case? If so perhaps I could get the second coupon activated for my purchase? Thanks
Golden ticket for me folks. Not a huge amount to say besides my wife and I enjoyed this. Nice stelvin closure, really emphasizes the daily drinker aspect. Day one pnp color is a dark magenta, pretty opaque too. Nose is a bit closed but generally red fruits? On initial taste I got tart plum my wife said tart strawberry. Finish is tart for me but my wife enjoyed it. The higher acid went well with our Italian meal of risotto and chateaubriand. Cut through the richness of the meal well without overpowering it. Capped it and saved it for day two.
Day two I enjoyed it a lot more, the air mellowed out the tartness and it was very drinkable by itself. It still had enough acid to handle food though as I tried it with some chocolate covered raisins. Still tart plums or maybe cherries on day two. Good body and the finish was enjoyable. This is a great daily drinker, though I preferred day two to day one. The tartness on day one meant it was a food wine for me. I thought it was more balanced on day two.
In for a case.
Thought about going the full monty - two cases - but remembered that I still have multiple bottles of multiple “Cheer” offerings, so I’m already well-stocked for Pedroncelli daily drinkers. (But on the other hand, I couldn’t not get any. I just … couldn’t.)

While I can’t taste a label, this, imo, is clearly a step up from those back in the 'teens.
