Just as a point of clarification, the bullet that says
“Typically about $50+ from the various Napa Valley wineries”
means that each bottle is valued at “typically $50+”, or that the three wines together would be valued at $50+? Assuming the former but it would be reassuring to see that “each” before pressing buy.
@deadlyapp Ah, that makes sense. I haven’t spent much time in the discussion areas here over the past year, so was only vaguely aware of the bankruptcy. And I didn’t realize Casemates/WCC scooped up some of the stock.
How much more are you saving by buying a full case?

Random Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa - $70 = 23.33%
Was at NY Giants football practice and got Pepper Johnson to sign my '86 throwback jersey so I guess the day wasn’t a total wash out.
Good luck hope you all get good juice !!!
I reluctantly passed on yet-another-offer, realizing that I would probably never smell or enjoy it (or any of the other bottles in my collection). I am still waiting to see if anything changes.
My haul. Per CT, average “value” is $43, with a low of $15.68 (the Slingshot) and a high of $131.86 (the Carte Blanche). A little disappointed I got 3 of the same, but open to changing my mind after trying one .
Got my 3 pack today. Same assortment that @stever52 got. Nothing exciting that I saw, but hey, it’s a mystery offer… you take your chances.
The bigger issue is that this was billed as a Napa cab offer and they aren’t all from Napa, including the Tobias I received. @winedavid59 any insight? I guess the technicality is that the producers (Tobias, Slingshot) are Napa based wineries, even these specific wines aren’t from Napa?
A bit of a mixed bag here too with my case. Got two bottles of Tobias that are not Napa grapes… opened one of them tonight with the hope it might be a stand out, and it is meh.
My sister and I each got a case. Living on the East coast, we are unfamiliar with most of these. Not sure which might be standouts and which might be dogs.
@moondigger Of the 24 bottles: four of the Provenance and Tobias. One of the Chapter Ring, Montagu, Revolve, Dominican Oaks, and Trinchero. All the others are either two or three bottles.
A couple weeks ago, I asked (above) how likely it would be to get more than six different wines when ordering two cases. It turns out the chances were pretty good. We received twelve different wines in two cases. So chalk one up for variety, anyway.
I checked CellarTracker, and it’s still unclear to me which are true bargains and which are meh.
@moondigger
I don’t know them all either but I can vouch for the Priest Ranch being a solid Cab and I have enjoyed other wines from Trinchero. I know that doesn’t answer the value question. I paid $37.50 apiece for my Priest Ranch Cabs. Think they retail for about $50.
@chipgreen Thanks for the feedback. This offer worked out to ~$21 per bottle for me, after tax. (I get the free shipping as a VMP.) Even if the quoted $50 per bottle average is wildly optimistic, the offer seems like an overall bargain to me if only for the opportunity to try a bunch of Cabs I haven’t tried before.
10 unique bottles. I have been been out of the wine game for too long and have no idea which selctions are good/bad/men. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
If I had to pick out the duds they would be the '18 Random Ridge, '21 Slingshot and '17 Provenance; but even with those, average CT was above CM pricing.
Community value pricing puts the case at $631.62 with an average CT of just over 90.

@rjquillin I would have been very happy to get a bottle of the 2019 Bell Clone 7 — it’s not even available direct from their website unless you’re a club member.
My two 3-packs arrived Wednesday, packed together in one box. Only cardboard lining, all the bottles were very warm to the touch. I hope they weren’t ruined by the heat. I got a similar assortment to others posting.
Was a little bit nervous when one of my cases arrived in a box significantly larger than any case of wine I have ever ordered… turns out, it was filled with four stacked lay-flat corrugates, and a little bubble wrap (definitely not enough). Luckily, despite the poor packaging, no bottles were damaged!
Overall, the selection is pretty good! 13 unique bottles out of 24, which I was happy with. Particularly excited for The Vice and Au Sommet bottles.
Like several others, I got multiples of the Tobias ‘Formation’ and the Provenance ‘Napa’ (x4 each), which was a little disappointing. Has anyone acknowledged the inclusion of the Tobias (Sonoma / Mendocino grapes) in these packs, or suggested a resolution to that? I suppose they will be mediocre pizza wine, but it is a bit unfortunate that 4 of 24 bottles in the Napa Mystery Packs are not from Napa

Hmmm
Napa you say?
Looks like we’re back into the UC vault.
Hurry

Who all besides me ordered a case of mystery Grenache a couple of months back?
Just as a point of clarification, the bullet that says

@jcpseattle each.
@Winedavid49 Thanks!

“Guaranteed 2 different wines in the 3 pack and 6 different wines in the case.”
If we order two cases, how likely is it we’ll receive more than six different wines?
@moondigger my guess, given the stock this is from, is very low. Most cases will probably look the same.
@deadlyapp I guess I missed something… I don’t see any indication of where the stock is from.
That said – despite not receiving a reply, I ordered last night.
@moondigger I’m speculating based on the other recent mystery orders, but I believe most of it is coming out of UC bankruptcy sell off.
@deadlyapp Ah, that makes sense. I haven’t spent much time in the discussion areas here over the past year, so was only vaguely aware of the bankruptcy. And I didn’t realize Casemates/WCC scooped up some of the stock.

@emribecky That’s what CloudStrike said.
All Napa juice, or just producer’s addresses?
Mysteries are great so have to get 2 cases!!!

Ugh. Been so good all summer, but this has non-buyer’s remorse written all over it…
@fermentedwisdom Many thanks to the sellout for saving me from myself. Looking forward to seeing what everyone gets!
The mystery magnums we got were incredible deals, impossible to resist this
@rmm989 Not for everyone!!!
Cases sold out. I’m actually happy about this. A 3 pack it is! I just don’t need any more cab, but can’t resist the mystery…
Sold out. If a case comes back around, it’s an auto buy for me.
In for a couple of 3-packs.

Oh, well . . . FOMO strikes again:

Very interested to see what people end up getting. I’m still leery of mystery offerings. I’m about 50/50 on the results.
Dang I missed out.
Dang, I missed out as well.
If someone in Denver area got a case and would want to split some, please let me know! Thanks
This was quick!

My package showed up today. Can’t wait to try it!
@stever52 Exact same here.
@stever52 I also received these three.
@stever52 same
@stever52 Ditto.
My haul. Per CT, average “value” is $43, with a low of $15.68 (the Slingshot) and a high of $131.86 (the Carte Blanche). A little disappointed I got 3 of the same, but open to changing my mind after trying one .
@davirom Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper… Nice score

Caveat emptor!! I got poor selections for the last two mystery buys. Some people came out ok. Good for them. Never again.
@moondigger The Rudius is a great bottle, I paid north of 100 back in 2019, I’ve been hoarding my last couple of bottles.
A couple weeks ago, I asked (above) how likely it would be to get more than six different wines when ordering two cases. It turns out the chances were pretty good. We received twelve different wines in two cases. So chalk one up for variety, anyway.

Only one repeat and I’ve never tried any of these wineries. Thanks @winedavid49
@winedavid49 Lots of great.wines I haven’t had, thanks!!!
@StingingJ especially for the price. i agree! thanks for the feedback!
10 unique bottles. I have been been out of the wine game for too long and have no idea which selctions are good/bad/men. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
@tommythecat I finally got my shipping notice for these wines I got last week! Lol
Awesome case; $248.39 delivered

Interesting that it is still “processing”
perhaps there is another on the way as well.
WORKER BEES! HERCULES! TURKEY GREASE! AWESOME!
@rjquillin daaaaaaang.
@rjquillin I would have been very happy to get a bottle of the 2019 Bell Clone 7 — it’s not even available direct from their website unless you’re a club member.
@moondigger @rjquillin
Yes, Bell and the Howell Mt. Cab from Pestoni. Score!
@chipgreen @moondigger @rjquillin Bell and Howell makes wine now? I thought they were reduced to selling flashlights as seen on TV.
@InFrom @moondigger @rjquillin
My two 3-packs arrived Wednesday, packed together in one box. Only cardboard lining, all the bottles were very warm to the touch. I hope they weren’t ruined by the heat. I got a similar assortment to others posting.
