Spellbound Cabernet Sauvignon showcases lush texture and bold dark fruit flavors of blackberry, ripe plum and cassis with a hint of oak and spice. Cedar and tobacco aromas accent the full, round palate, and the wine finishes with soft, integrated tannins.
This handcrafted, food friendly Cabernet pairs delightfully with steak, grilled Portobello mushrooms, smoky BBQ and even chocolate!

Tasting Notes
Spellbound Petite Sirah has an intense color and generous bouquet of rich blackberries and blueberries, vanilla bean and roasted coffee, all in a remarkably approachable glass. The wine is crafted to unleash dark and luscious characteristics, while managing tannins to deliver an opulent and juicy Petite Sirah.
Enjoy this wine on its own or with expressive dishes including Cajun flavors, smoky barbecued meats, spaghetti with meatballs, fried chicken and even Greek food. Rosemary, oregano, paprika and many more spices all work well.

Everyone knows the warm sun nurtures plants, bringing grapevines to full maturity. But since ancient times farmers have also depended on the moon, ruler of the tides, whose gravitational force pulls water up from the soil, supporting vines during the cool nights that maintain beautiful balance in wine grapes.
We source Spellbound wines from winegrowing regions throughout California where warm sun and cool, moonlit nights result in expressive, approachable, balanced wines. These wines are true to their roots, expressing ripe varietal character with a style that elevates every occasion—from special events to everyday meals around the family table.

Can anyone compare the 2016 to the 2017 Petite Sirah? People seem to love the 2016 and I can confirm that the Cab punches well above its price, but the 2017 PS is a mystery
Hopefully we will get more information about the actual source of the grapes, a bit more than the generic “California” region. And something a bit more specific than the marketing words "from winegrowing regions throughout California where warm … (blah blah blah standard marketing blather follows).
Also once again the MSRP seems totally out-of-whack: $600/case? Generally $50 wines aren’t for “everyday meals around the family table” and people who drink $50 wines regularly would probably not be shopping for these.
I’ve been very impressed by the quality of the two previous (the cab and the bubbles). Not going to blow your doors off but a plain solid every day wine
Really enjoyed the 2017 Cab. Fantastic everyday drinker. Not going to bring it to any wine tasting parties (not that we’re having those anymore…) But solid and tasty.
So glad to see this back. I loved the Cab so much I found it online elsewhere at a higher price just to get some more. Looking forward to trying the Syrah! Happy new year everyone!
Well, that’s two in a row for me, this might get to be a problem. But the 2017 Cab was a hit as an everyday drinker, and as I gave a few away I have already almost run out, so…

I’m running out of wine storage room, but I can’t pass this up. I really enjoyed the previous Spellbound Cab that was offered.

@pmarin Per their website, winery price is $14.99/btl. Certainly $600/case is just a typo.
@pmarin @danOR @rjquillin $600 per case is not accurate. where are you seeing it?
@pmarin @Winedavid49 Under “Price Comparison”, above
@DanOR @pmarin yea, that’s totally wrong. will address. thanks for the heads up.

It would make it more interesting if the case mix was 6+3+3.
@Mark_L Yeah, odd mystery case. However, and no real idea, but good chance these are pretty consistent vintage to vintage.

Hm, I’m a pass on this one, I’m hoping that the Slingshot boomerang back around at some point.
@smtcapecod Slingshot had become one of our favorite daily drinkers too. Love it!
@RedandFirefly @smtcapecod noted!
Decided to give it a try based upon the favorable comments

In for two cases. Couple of friends split the cab with me last time and we all wanted more.

My first purchase and really appreciate and enjoy all the feedback.
