About Anne Amie Vineyards
Anne Amie Vineyards is located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and owned by philanthropist Dr. Robert Pamplin. Winemaker Thomas Houseman and grower Peter Ebbers handle the production. Though their primary varieties are in the Pinot family, as a nice compliment, they also grow Old-Vine Estate Müller-Thurgau planted back in 1979. Both LIVE and Salmon Safe certified, Anne Amie crafts some high quality wines and does so sustainably.

A Lychee Lich

TASTING NOTES:
Expect passionfruit, kiwi, mandarin, orange pith, key lime, quince, and elderflower on the nose. Some tastes that come to mind are white strawberry, salmonberry, lychee, nectarine, ginger, St-Germain, and summertime with a spicy, mineral-driven and effervescent finish. (AbV 12.9%, pH 3.10, TA 6.8 g/L, RS 0.90%)

AGING:
4 months on its lees, then infused with CO2.

The lich is an undead fantasy creature whose name is rooted in the Old English term for “corpse.” What the word has come to refer to is a sapient corpse brought back to life or kept alive via unnatural means. Usually this is because they were a sorcerer in life or something. The lich’s abilities often overlap with those of a necromancer, with the former being undead and the latter alive. Both often can raise other undead and cast spells, with liches often having been powerful necromancers in life. They’ve been in fantasy literature since at least the early 20th century.
