The name Amrita comes from the Buddhist equivalent of ambrosia, or a wine of the gods. Our Amrita is a unique inspiration for each harvest, crafted from different varieties to be an effervescent, fruit-forward wine. It makes a delightful aperitif and is our favorite match with Pan-Asian foods.
Grapes were brought directly to the winery in 1/2 ton totes in perfect condition. They were carefully sorted by hand; the whole cluster pressed and placed into temperature-controlled stainless steel fermenters. Each varietal was paired with a suitable yeast and slowly fermented at 45°F for the maximum varietal character. The wine aged on its lees for four months before blending and bottling. Wine is then infused with CO2 to preferred pétillance.

Winery: Anne Amie Vineyards
Owners: Dr. Robert B. Pamplin, Jr.
Founded: 1999
Location: Willamette Valley, Oregon
When Dr. Robert Pamplin, one of Oregon’s most forward-thinking philanthropists and businessmen, purchased the historic Chateau Benoit Winery in 1999, his vision was to create wines of the highest quality to reflect his passion for excellence. Winemaker Thomas Houseman, winegrower Peter Ebbers, and the rest of the crew are absolutely passionate about producing wines of the finest quality and have dedicated their lives to this quest.
As with all great wines, ours start in the vineyards. We are fortunate to have some of Oregon’s best sites, all of which are Salmon Safe and LIVE certified. Our estate vineyards receive only the minimal required treatments and yields are dramatically reduced in order to give fruit with great depth and complexity.
Our estate vineyards are located in the rolling hills of the Yamhill-Carlton District and on the steep hillsides of the Chehalem Mountains, both nestled in Oregon’s verdant Willamette Valley. Our LIVE certified winery is located on our Yamhill-Carlton property, a few miles from both Lafayette and Carlton, Oregon.

@InFrom@karenhynes You really should. It’s a fun and tasty wine, and I’m relieved to see it on offer as I’m down to the end of my supply of it. I’ve almost always enjoyed the Anne Amie wines, but this is my favorite of them.
These have been offered here several times, in the random cases last October and a few mixed cases before that. I like it.

@InFrom Hahaha! I was like, injected CO2?!?!?! But then I saw @opiate2002’s comments. I may get a case for myself, not sure I want to share! I need to stock up on summer whites. But then this buy will be 4 cases in 3-4 weeks!
@irenegade there will be other yummy whites, you can count on that. Toss a few of these my way, you’ll have room for other exciting offers. You’re welcome!
@InFrom@irenegade Just to make sure I qualify my statement (I was half asleep when I posted it) I should probably note “SPECTACULAR QPR”. There are nicer bubblies out there (at a much higher price point) with arguably better effervescence or more refined profiles, but this is a no-brainer at $7.62 a bottle and I will happily drink this any time I’m craving either a white or a bubbly.
I didn’t make any notes from my last bottles (obviously), but I remember it being fruit-forward and dry, light and “playful” on the palate. I got many of the flavors they noted in the description (especially the quince which is probably part of why I enjoyed it so much), and I recall it being moderately complex.
@GatorFL Are you worried about the heat for shipping? That’s the only thing that is holding me back on buying this. I fear it will be too hot here in FL for shipping.
@gemeinschaft79 No I’m not. The Vamp was delivered a couple weeks ago in styrofoam and the bottles were cold even though it was hot outside. If you’re in South FL we can do a split!
How much more are you saving by buying a full case?

2017 Anne Amie Cuvée A Amrita - $15 = 13.63%
Have gotten this multiple times in their mix packs. It’s the wife’s favorite. Starting to feel like I’m getting judging looks from the UPS guy.

I have had this in previous offerrings. Its a refreshing, bubbly quaffer perfect for summer OR for the Thanksgiving table. The wine has a lovely mix of fruit and stone, is dry but would also appeal to those who like a bit of sweetness. I’m really, really tempted to pull the trigger.
Hey folks who have had this - I have a few questions. how perceivable is the .9% RS? Also, how carbonated? Similar to a Gruet sparkler or more of a light fizz?
@jhkey I normally don’t like high-RS which is why I avoided the Moscato a few weeks ago, even though it sounded interesting and I appreciated the winemaker’s comments and skill.
This one I had from the mixed case last year and really liked it. The RS is perceivable but not at all overpowering. Very mild fizz effect, pleasant and not same as a full sparkler (though I like those too)
I would add it’s unusual for me to decide to go for a case of a .9% beverage and yet I had no hesitation to order early this morning.
No South Dakota delivery - anybody up in the Twin Cities or points between up for a split? Maybe by the time it arrives, I’ll be back to my usual monthly trips up there!
@coynedj Yep! I ordered a case for us to split. I might even have a 3rd person interested so we could each take 4 bottles. It hasn’t been confirmed yet though. Even so, 6 and 6 is manageable.
Another great buy! I missed out on the Anne Amie random whites offer, and was not going to miss out on this one too! Happy to share some bottles in Indy.
@Winedavid49@rjquillin I reported the a problem with my order the day it happened (Saturday). The automated email I got back From Casemates says that I should expect a response in 7 business days. I called UPS on Saturday and got routed to the local office, but they couldn’t do anything until Monday and so far this week they have been been unable to find the package. I was hoping that it could be quickly retrieved from the post office, but now, alas, I fear the wine is long gone…
@Winedavid49@rjquillin surprisingly, the wine was returned to UPS on Friday, sat in their warehouse over the long weekend and was delivered to my house today. No one at USPS could tell me the whereabouts or status of the wine from 5/16 - 5/22 (in a facility? sitting on a truck?). Internal temp of the box when it arrived was 80°F. Megan from Casemates support didn’t have much to say, other than she could see it was out for delivery today.
@whiter@Winedavid49
This COVID-19 sure has thrown well known and established shipping models for a loop. You just don’t really know what to expect and CS seems overwhelmed for all.
If this was going to be drink near term, I’d at least try one to see what you have.

Sounds so yummy!
@karenhynes It does, doesn’t it? I never tried this, always wanted to.
@InFrom @karenhynes You really should. It’s a fun and tasty wine, and I’m relieved to see it on offer as I’m down to the end of my supply of it. I’ve almost always enjoyed the Anne Amie wines, but this is my favorite of them.
I don’t know if this is the same vintage we got a few months back in the mixed whites case from Anne Amie, but that one was SPECTACULAR.
In fact, I don’t really care if it’s the same. It was so damned good last time, I’m in…
NoVA folks, if anyone wants a few, I’d be willing to part with up to 6 bottles.

@opiate2002 I’ll take a half case off you. This looks like an easy drinker with a mix of food.
Any Queens interest in sharing a case?

@irenegade @opiate2002 Hey, easy there on the effusive praise! I’m trying to get him to part with a few, remember? This is not helpful!
@InFrom @opiate2002 LOL!!! Okay, I just ordered a case, and I guess I can spare a bottle or two.
@irenegade @opiate2002 Woo hoo!
/giphy distressed-wimpy-glove
@StingingJ well, timely giphy in any case…
Ah, ah, have this in basement from before, almost out, but, but, this time it doesn’t ship to Iowa? When it did before?
Used to be members. Have always loved their whites. The offerings here are always a steal. Easy auto.
yes, this was great in the mixed case last year. unusual for sure, but I really liked it. will be hard to resist. deciding 6 or 12.
@pmarin of course, it had to be 12

@jwNC tip the UPS guy with a nice bottle every one in a while. worked for me!
@jwNC @pmarin ditto for me. Spread the joy!
I am intrigued! In for six - I’m running out of storage space for all these good deals lately.

@pmarin thanks - very helpful.
@jhkey also, yes, the insane QPR helps too!
@pmarin I got the mixed case last year as well. I concur with your take wholeheartedly.

@coynedj I can order a case. How many bottles would you like?
@kawichris650 4 to 6 bottles is fine with me - thanks!
@kawichris650 Did you place an order? I found another option if needed.
@coynedj Yep! I ordered a case for us to split. I might even have a 3rd person interested so we could each take 4 bottles. It hasn’t been confirmed yet though. Even so, 6 and 6 is manageable.
@kawichris650 Thanks - 4 bottles would be great if the other buyer joins in. I’m supposed to be not buying any more wine, ya know.
@coynedj So I don’t suppose you’d be interested in splitting the Scott Harvey offer, would ya?
@kawichris650 No, I’m not much of a zin drinker and I really am trying to be super-selective in what I buy. I have plenty of syrah on hand as well.
Another great buy! I missed out on the Anne Amie random whites offer, and was not going to miss out on this one too! Happy to share some bottles in Indy.

We’ve enjoyed our latest Anne Amie wine, but this is a new one for us. The CM crowd feedback has us in for a case!

Any discussions on bringing this gem back to casemates?
@Drez143 good poke here! I only have one of these left…
I ran out quite a while ago. Perhaps I gifted a few too many of them haha. It would certainly be nice to see them here again.
