Our Estate Riesling from vineyards directly in front of our winery includes the original 1979 planting. High sun exposure and unique soils yield an intensely perfumed and expressive wine exhibiting pure varietal character. Aromas of jasmine flower and marmalade lead to flavors of stone fruits and a pleasing minerality. The fresh acidity and long finish mean you can enjoy watching this wine develop for years.
Flavor: white strawberry, kumquat, golden raspberry, St-Germain, summertime
Finish: spicy, mineral driven and effervescent
Suggested Food Pairings: Thai food, Mexican food, NC BBQ, fish sauce chicken wings, salad rolls, Indian food, life, Netflix
Vineyard Notes
The name Amrita comes from the Buddhist equivalent of ambrosia, or a wine of the gods. Our Amrita is a unique inspiration each harvest, crafted from different varieties to be an effervescent, fruit-forward wine. It makes a delightful aperitif and is our favorite match with Pan-Asian foods.
Our estate-grown Müller-Thurgau comes from vines first planted in 1979. Crisp, fresh, and dry, it is a charming example of the variety at its best. From chicken to shellfish, this wine is a versatile match for mildly spicy foods like Thai, Creole, or Mexican.

Our Twelve Oaks Estate Rosé of Pinot gris is barrel-fermented, yielding a complex wine. This alternative style of Pinot gris is both deliciously aromatic and richly textured. Aromas of strawberries, pineapple and baking spices intermingle with mouth-filling peach and citrus fruit.

When Dr. Robert Pamplin, one of Oregon’s most forward-thinking philanthropists and businessmen, purchased the historic Chateau Benoit Winery in 1999, his vision was to create wines of the highest quality to reflect his passion for excellence. To this end Dr. Pamplin has charged winemaker Thomas Houseman and winegrower Peter Ebbers with the task of crafting extraordinary pinot noir. Thomas, Peter, and the rest of the crew are absolutely passionate about producing wines of the finest quality and have dedicated their lives to this quest.
Pinot reigns supreme at Anne Amie Vineyards with Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc forming the heart of our production. Complementing the pinot family is Old-Vine Estate Müller Thurgau, planted in 1979. As with all great wines, our’s start in the vineyards. We are fortunate to have some of Oregon’s best sites, all of which are Salmon Safe and LIVE certified. Our estate vineyards, along with those we purchase from, receive only the minimal required treatments and yields are dramatically reduced in order to give fruit with great depth and complexity.
Our estate vineyards are located in the rolling hills of the Yamhill-Carlton District and on the steep hillsides of the Chehalem Mountains, both nestled in Oregon’s verdant Willamette Valley. Our LIVE certified winery is located on our Yamhill-Carlton property, a few miles from both Lafayette and Carlton, Oregon.

This is usually an AUTOBUY for me except I’m already well stocked with the same varietals. This offer has a knock out price!
With no more storage room and holiday bills coming in, I need to keep the peace in the house. Therefore, I regretfully have to pass on this offer. Hopefully, down the road we’ll see some of Anne Amie’s great Pinot Noir!!!
+1 for needing a case as well! If any folks in NH/Northern MA managed to get in on the case and would be willing to part with some of theirs I’ll happily buy some I have some of the Amrita and Muller Thurgau on hand already, but I’m super curious about the other Amrita vintage and the Dry Riesling and Rose of Pinot Gris…
@wordek I tried them all, except the rose. Dry riesling is fine, even though not as dry as a german or french riesling. Slygtly (and pleasantly, in my opinion) off dry. Amrita is fun. And Thurgau quite good as well as you know
@rjquillin@Winedavid49 I’ll be hoping for the magical rabbit. I just can’t justify the increased price for the 4-packs for the same wine. Two 4-packs end up being more than one 12-pack. My punishment for not checking Casemates earlier in the day!
@rjquillin I’m quite excited to have gotten in ahead of the curve on this one. Haven’t had anything from Anne Amie. Anything that sells out clearly has a rep for being “autobuy” in the future.
@djwitzel I bet it will turn out to be somewhat random. I do appreciate a winery attempting to make it as even as possible, which means that many people will get similar mixes. That’s a feature, not a bug (to me at least). Random in this and other cases means some cases at least will be different, for the convenience of the winery. Typically for clearing out the last bits of certain wines. As we should get a lower price for “not guaranteed to get any particular mix”, I’m all for it!
I would agree that it’s best to give us as much information as possible. “Mystery” is not something most of us want or like; it’s what we agree to in order to help the winery with odd lots, and to get a better price for doing so. Everyone wins. Everyone wins the most I think if we’re given as much information as possible, while maintaining convenience for the winery. A hint such as, “you will likely will get up to half Muller-Thurgau” would have been good, for example.
@PatrickKarcher I think “random” vs. “mystery” has been litigated thoroughly here (as noted above). I still would have been in for a case had there been mention of an overabundance of Muller-Thurgau, but getting six of those (and I can’t imagine other orders having a mere one or two of the M-T) in a supposed “random” box kinda cuts down on the other 3 wines/4 vintages offered. I like the Amrita and M-T that I’ve had previously, and I am looking forward to the Riesling and Rose, and at that price it’s ridiculously easy to enjoy this case.
I bet it will turn out to be somewhat random. I do appreciate a winery attempting to make it as even as possible.
I cannot believe you are a kick-starter with that opinion. If you have been around, you know that many, many, many vintners and wineries have rinsed their hands of their randomness. It is all on WCC.
The fact of the matter is, if it is all a bunch of bottles that are “randomly” inserted, how could it sell out of cases but not 4 packs?
It is because as much as WD wants us all to be “mates” he wants the increased revenue on the lesser offerings.
@djwitzel@KNmeh7@PatrickKarcher
I think this has also been thoroughly litigated, but just in case, the economics of shipping cases vs the smaller lot means that the seller also gets less money on the case.
Mine came today:
2016, 2017 cuvee Amrita
2- 2014 dry riesling
2-2017 rose of pinot gris
6- muller-thurgau
I’m happy
Would I have liked a bit more variety? Of course. I want try all their varieties. But I am still ok with my case.
@Winedavid49 Thanks. I was confused, as to why I didn’t hear anything. The cap on the 2016 Cuvée A Muller Thurgau failed and the wine was leaking when I received my shipment.
While I didn’t buy in on this one, a co-worker did and I ended up with a '14 Dry Riesling she didn’t care for.
Have to agree, while I like a dry Riesling, this one just didn’t do it and I can’t put my finger why.

@Boatman72 @chipgreen @pjmartin When I saw this offer I assumed you’d be all over it. Surprising how quiet our gang has been this month!
@Boatman72 @chipgreen @mrn1 I have been behaving relatively well this month, not saying I haven’t bought anything but it has been direct with clubs etc.

Can’t beat this price. My wife and I have loved every varietal we’ve had from Anne Amie. Autobuy
Are cases really sold out?
@normanl0 @winedavid49 @thumperchick

Re-jiggering; expect a few, but buy up the 4-packs.
They likely won’t last till noon.
@normanl0 @rjquillin @Winedavid49 @witchbug77 @wordek bought two 4 pack. It doesn’t let me buy more than 2… Is that ok? I am aiming for a case of course! Or should I buy another 4 pack?!
@normanl0 @rjquillin @salpo @Winedavid49 @witchbug77 @wordek Cases are back!
@catcoland @normanl0 @rjquillin @Winedavid49 @witchbug77 @wordek damn, what should I do? Buy a case and cancel the other order?

@catcoland @normanl0 @rjquillin @Winedavid49 @witchbug77 @wordek can you switch my 2 4-bottles to a case please?!
@Winedavid49 Will the cases be coming back? Thank you!
@danica12 no, i think we are out.
@Winedavid49 Oh major bummer! Please let me know if that changes. I was really hoping to get one! Thank you

cases back at the moment
Are cases gone for good?
@danica12
yup, those are gone for good, unless @WineDavid49 can pull a rabbit out of the hole.
Get your 4-packs now.
@rjquillin @Winedavid49 I’ll be hoping for the magical rabbit. I just can’t justify the increased price for the 4-packs for the same wine. Two 4-packs end up being more than one 12-pack. My punishment for not checking Casemates earlier in the day!
@danica12 @Winedavid49 Or last night!
@rjquillin @Winedavid49 touche
@danica12 @rjquillin @Winedavid49 Well said. I can’t pull the trigger on the 4-packs either. What a bummer.
@danica12 @osiris3mc @rjquillin @Winedavid49 eh the 4 pack is still a good price for good wine.
@osiris3mc @rjquillin @Winedavid49 I keep checking hoping it will change, but no luck so far. Hope we both have better luck the next time around!
I’m in for four, but would love to upgrade to a case . . .

@rjquillin I’m quite excited to have gotten in ahead of the curve on this one. Haven’t had anything from Anne Amie. Anything that sells out clearly has a rep for being “autobuy” in the future.
@rjquillin @Cerridwyn
Sigh. When will I learn with these F’ing “random” cases. I hate random cases, but love Anne Amie.
Both cases were identical. 2x rose, 2x Riesling, 1x 2016 Amrita, 1x 2017 Amrita, and 6x Müller-Thurgau.
Now I have an entire case of Muller-Thurgau, and only 2 of the sparkling Amritas (the one I wanted most and voted in poll.)
We don’t need to rehash the random versus mystery debate again, but if half of the case is the same bottle, next time give the buyers a heads up.
@Cerridwyn @KNmeh7 @rjquillin
Same case here. Ups guy and co- workers were pleased with the wine give away. You can afford to be nice at <$8/btl.
Ditto here on the contents of the case. I’m starting to think the case selection wasn’t random at all…
