About Denier-Handal Vineyards
Based in the heart of Dry Creek Valley, Denier-Handal grew premium grapes for over 20 years for other Napa and Sonoma wineries, forming some long-standing relationships in the process. Although they aren’t cultivating their own grapes these days, they still consult for the family that purchased their vineyard and source their grapes from both there and some of their old colleagues. Preferring small family-owned vineyards with organic, sustainable practices, Denier-Handal continue to grow their relationships and produce award-winning wines.

TASTING NOTES:
Sangiovese - “On the nose, are notes cherry and strawberries with raspberry overtones. At the mid-pallet, these same fruit flavors are intensified along with flavors of earth and leather. It is dry with a crispness that comes from a good amount of acidity…” (AbV 15.3%, pH 3.30, RS < 0.1%)

Sagrantino - “Initial aromas of dried cherry develop into more complex offerings of raspberry, leather, dried rose petals, figs, almonds and cocoa. Rich and dry in the mouth — sweet and authoritative…” (AbV 15.0%, pH 3.80, RS < 0.1%)

Blend - “The bouquet offers bold fruit; rich ripe blackberries and raspberries plus violets, blackcurrant, plums, cherries, plus strawberry, cinnamon and nutmeg spice. On the palate, it is broad, deep, juicy, dripping blackberries and cherries. In the mid palate, this is a well balanced wine with chewy, full-bodied tannins and a lingering fruit finish.” (AbV 15.3%, pH 3.6, 47% Sangiovese 29% Petite Sirah 18% Zinfandel)

BARRELS:
22 months in 2-year-old French oak for most.
