With winemaker Aryn Morell rounding out the team in 2011, the Lawrence family and Morell have shared management of the wine production ever since.

TASTING NOTES:
“Pure, polished smoky black fruit, black tea mixed with ripe plum and currant puree and a gorgeous barrel spice. The palate is a skyscraper with pressed black fruit, baking spice and a mixture of dried herbs and licorice. The tannins are present, but sweet and supporting of the massive volume this wine has.“

Midgård literally translates to “middle yard.” In Norse mythology, Midgård refers to the Earth as we know it, or as they knew it. Back then the idea was that all the landmasses were surrounded by increasingly impassable oceans and encircled by the world serpent Jörmungandr. Outside and around Midgård, or above and below, you’d find all the other realms, like Jotunheim, Helheim, Niflheim, and so on.
