About Kendric Vineyards
Winemaker Stewart Johnson has been caretaker of the Kendric Johnson vineyard since his first Pinot Noir was planted in 2002. The vineyard specializes in Pinot Noir clones 37, 115, 667, 777, 828, Pommard, and Martini. Each was specifically selected with the belief that they would be a perfect fit for the environment and climate of Marin County. The result of this thoughtful cultivation is a Pinot Noir of significant structure and complexity, one that is made to age and unfolds gradually once opened.

TASTING NOTES:
“…offers up a pure and precise bouquet of cassis, black raspberries, pepper, black olive, smoked meats and a lovely base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is svelte, full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a good core, fine-grained tannins and excellent length and grip on the light on its feet and complex finish.” (AbV 13.7%)

In nature, there aren’t really glowing plants, unless you count micro-organisms, such as plant-like protists. Scientists have engineered plants that glow using genetic material from other organisms, but I wouldn’t call that natural exactly. There are, however, a few flowers with petals that can exhibit fluorescence visible to the naked eye. They glow a slight greenish because of a pigment type called betaxanthins. Sadly, the glow isn’t all that strong, but it exists.
