About Marshall Davis Wine: “Founded in 2011 by brothers Sean, Ryan and Matt, Marshall Davis creates small batch vineyard specific wines. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay some from their estate vineyard in Oregon’s Yamhill-Carlton AVA while full bodied Cabernet Sauvignons and Syrahs are produced from some of the most prestigious vineyards in Washington’s Walla Walla AVA. Stylistically, wines are focused and varietally-correct. Winemaker Sean Davis believes in minimal manipulation, letting each vineyard express itself, with more attention paid to textures and tannin management.”

TASTING NOTES: “Our Red Label Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the prestigious Seven Hills Vineyard in The Walla Walla Valley AVA. This award winning vineyard produces some of the best fruit we have ever seen and we are extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work with it. Endless layers and subtleties with the core Cabernet flavors always shining through. A great mix of red and blue fruit, soft and jammy with mild tannin structure leading to a long finish on the end.” (AbV 15.3%)

One Piece has been going since 1997 and while it’s reached its final narrative arc, the end is still not exactly in sight. Given it’s been around for over 25 years now, it’s built up quite the roster of villainous characters. One of the most sinister of its villains is none other than the pirate Blackbeard! Sort of.

Not the real Blackbeard, but he’s based on him. Marshall D. Teach is captain of the Blackbeard Pirates and currently one of the Four Emperors of the sea. Teach killed his former crewmate (while sailing under Whitebeard) to steal a Devil Fruit, one of limited fruits out in the world that give whoever eats them crazy powers. This fruit made him a darkness man, basically a walking black hole. After getting kicked off that crew, he made his own out of a bunch of equally sick bastards. In fact, he went specifically to the biggest prison in the world, to its most heinous prisoners, and then made them fight for a place on his crew. He’s a real piece of work.
