About Seis Soles Wine Co.
Seis Soles, meaning sixth sun, is named after the Aztec belief that the world went through four iterations under four suns before the fifth world and sun, our current one, were created. Seis Soles believes in a future under a sixth sun, promoting a healthy planet and a new way to think about wine. As such, their wines are lively and expressive, meant to be enjoyed with a meal or just as a part of life.

TASTING NOTES:
“Pale, transparent pinkish brick color and fragrant aroma suggesting tropical fruit and (a scent familiar to many a wine lover) Strawberry Jolly Ranchers, plus a smidgen of dusty, almost menthol-like eucalyptus. The freshness in the nose follows up in an off-dry palate feel that is light and zippy with fresh fruit acidity. Medium sweet (dulce). Round and fresh on the palate.” (AbV 11.8%, TA 6.2 g/L, RS 8 g/L)

Who is Simon? Why do we do what Simon says? Nobody has a real answer. I really can’t find one. At least, nothing concrete exactly. The game itself might have originated as something like Cicero Says, though in Latin because it’s Ancient Rome, and was named for Marcus Tullius Cicero, an influential statesman. It exists in multiple different cultures at this point with different names and reasons for those names. But still, who is Simon?? One person who would look at the origins of old playground games said it was because of Simon De Montfort, a French-born nobleman who briefly ruled over England after he led a revolt against Henry III. Who knows.
