About Fattoria Della Talosa: “Talosa’s story started over 50 years ago when Angelo Jacorossi acquired this beautiful historical estate. The Jacorossi family started pushing very strongly to produce extremely high-quality wines, so much so that this estate became a watershed in the quality of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Today, this award-winning winery is being managed by the 3rd generation of the Jacorossi family.”

TASTING NOTES: “This wine enchants with an intense, floral, and fruity-spicy aroma with hints of black cherries, tobacco, and oak spice. With complex and elegant flavors, this exquisite Vino Nobile shows firm tannins on the palate, a balanced structure, and a well-integrated acidity. The finish is long, soft, delicate, and harmonious. In Greek mythology, there are quite a few big dudes. Just these humongous lads, sometimes made of metal. One of the most well-known is the bronze automaton Talos.

Thirty meters tall, Hephaestus forged Talos, likely at the request of Zeus, to protect the island of Crete and Zeus’s lover Europa. Three times a day, Talos patrolled the shores of the island, an unstoppable colossus capable of destroying any ship that approached. He had one quirk though: his molten blood flowed through a single vein from his neck to his ankle, and there was a nail holding it shut. When Jason and the Argonauts came by Crete, Talos tried to sink them. Medea, who was traveling with them, then straight-up kills him. She removes his nail through some combination of hypnosis, persuasion, spirit-conjuring, and… drugs.
