About Art + Farm Wine: 20 years ago in Western Australia, Kat McDonald got the opportunity to work with a craft brewer down under. After three years, she returned to the US along with her husband Rob McDonald, and together they founded Old Bridge Cellars. Though they were importing Australian wines at first, they planted some vineyards in both Australia and Napa Valley, leading to the production of their own wines. Then in 2008, Art+Farm was born as a vehicle for their single vineyard wines, outrageous blends, and Circadia: an exploration of varietals in their truest forms.

TASTING NOTES: “Rich, ripe peaches and green apples are followed by soft almond and fresh honeysuckle as the bouquet builds in the glass. The texture is medium-bodied and crisp, not vapid and thin like other Pinot Grigios. Subtle peaches & cream are met with flavors of nectarine, soft watermelon, and a minerality reminiscent of fresh beach air.” (AbV 12.9%)

1979, ABC airs a made-for-TV movie called The Girls in the Office. Very straightforward title. Probably not about hunting Draculas or feudal Japan. In this movie, you’ve got four female leads. Lee Rawlins is the good girl, the one who’s doing things by the book and wants everybody to get along! Rita Massaro is the ambitious, hard-hearted girl who will put her own ambitions over the good of others, manipulating them for her benefit. Then there are Karen Heineman and Tracy Beaumont, the younger two who are starting out and learning how to get other people to respect them. All four of them work in the office for a department store called Nayfak’s in Houston. There’s all kinds of romance and professional growth and so-on. It’s on YouTube in its entirety too.
