@Winedavid49
There’s some Beringer that may fit that profile;
but which one?
And I like the Moran Manor direction better.
Anagram would be a pricy selection.
But it has to be a hop … so Frog or a Rabbit. But Frog’s Leap is in Napa (and hasn’t been on CM, IIRC) and Frog’s Tooth is in Murphy’s (Sierra Foothils). So Rabbit Ridge looks to be the winner?
And Oceano had two offers in Oct., Pinot Noir and a Chardonnay.
@MarkDaSpark@msten@Winedavid59 Oh, that makes sense.
It’s totally WD’s diabolical plan to wait until just after Berserker Day to unleash irresistible deals. Shame on you!
@MarkDaSpark@Winedavid49@Winedavid59 I don’t know where you got married!
Bennett Valley?
Russian River Valley? (Hard to say it doesn’t get enough love)
Unless you mean something far more fun like the Santa Clara Valley - we going to the Bay Area? I have spent many miles biking along Sand Hill Road. Woodside Vineyards is near there.
@MarkDaSpark@Winedavid49 I had the same thought when I read “tasing and spitting”. I get a picture of someone swishing wine around in their mouth and spitting it out when they are tased.
@kawichris650@MarkDaSpark@Winedavid59 Laura Michael sounds right assuming that “theze” was part of the clue. But then again WD isn’t known for his error-free spelling/typing!
It was the first and only clue of yours that I was able to figure out. (But I admit I’m nowhere near as knowledgeable about wineries as many of the others on here.)
@kawichris650@Winedavid59 All this clue makes me think of is the Dead song. I doubt we’re getting Alabama wine! But I’m sure there are a couple Grateful Dead themed wineries/wines…
Hey - how’s everyone’s brackets doing? Does anyone even have time for a guess…
“A red from the heart of the Rhône Valley, where sun-kissed vines produce a wine with deep, spiced flavors. Named after a saint and a riding accessory, this bottle is ready to take your taste buds on a bold ride.”
my MM bracket not doing so good. Anyways, onto the clue: A wine blend that HOPS between flavors as lively as its name, crafted to leap out of the glass with rich, bold reds and can possibly stain your enamel.
Mermosa Bubbles by Mermosa Wines
Or other offer from them.
Our mermaids create Mermosa using Premium white wine and a splash of natural orange and pineapple juices for a refreshing, not-too-sweet finish. We handcraft our wines in the coastal range of the US where the Pacific Ocean maritime air currents shape the flavor profile of the grapes.
@klezman@MarkDaSpark@WCCWineGirl
I try to guess a winery that has been here before unless the clue indicates that they are new or if I can’t find anything from a previous winery that fits the clue. When I googled, Ascension had an appropriately named wine and I bought a dessert wine of theirs from WW back in 2017, so I went with that.
I did wonder if owning the new UC had opened up access to La Sirena, as they have had La Sirena in some recent offers, and all of my own La Sirena bottles have come from the original UC.
I think it’s Tuesday evening, and there should be a new wine for Wednesday. @WCCWineGirl shouldn’t we have gotten a clue by now? It’s only 90 minutes away…
Her track record definitely speaks for itself and her mind seems to be in sync with WD, but without any clue whatsoever, even Karen might struggle on this one (unless she happens to be a Lab Rat).
@kawichris650@rjquillin@WCCWineGirl
Y’all are cracking me up! Sadly, I crashed last night before any of this was posted. Of course, I then woke up at 1am and couldn’t go back to sleep. Stupid sleep cycle.
The TRUTH of the matter is I got delayed and HONESTLY almost forgot but this wine is purely VIRTUOUS and it saddens me to let you all know that this will be their last offer on Casemates. Don’t let it slip away…
@MarkDaSpark clue? whenever i see this winery name (known as much for growing as making) it reminds me of Earl, paint and body repair company (southern cal i think).
@karenhynes@klezman@MarkDaSpark@Ten9Eight@Winedavid59
and they are here in San Diego. Stopped by years ago to buy/pick-up a smaller walk-in cellar from them and there were jugs of mega purple in the back room…
just sayin
popular every release. i need to check, but i bet it’s our 4th time vintage from this small wine maker. the label reminds us it will go good with steak.
@MarkDaSpark haha, i’ll live. but i felt like a snared anamial for a while. kind of an odd feeling. but i’m good.
this (first name) person is already in the hall. Pete and Shoeless can now join him. Shoeless played in the same era and people reminded him of Pete. spikes up!
@davirom@Winedavid49 well done. Agree likely a case deal. ( well, I guess they’re all a “case deal”). Has the Twisted Oak inventory been distributed? I see the “whoops”, but the extra special character could be a loose T.O. reference.
Hmm. See video. The next part is “. . .or you can call me Jay”, so maybe J vineyards? It goes on “. . . but you doesn’t have to call me Johnson”, and there are a lot of Johnson wine references.
good evening. i don’t know about a clue but this winery has become a treasure trove of quality wines and a fantastic price. go ahead and get swept away with this offer.
@msten@Winedavid59 I was going to suggest Tank Garage (who has appeared here) Expression Session, but then I noticed that WD had already liked your reply. Oh well…
@MarkDaSpark@Winedavid59@karenhynes OK, how did IH have my email address? Just after posting my guess I got an email inviting me to peruse their site. That’s a first.
@Mark_L@MarkDaSpark@msten@Winedavid49
MacRostie would be enticing, and their office is/was in the same building WD once occupied. And that reminds me I need to go and find some of them…
once this d@*&^% covid departs and I feel like eating/drinking again
@InFrom Thanks. Can’t call this one the China flu, as the wife just returned from Japan, and brought me this gift; sigh.
No wine, no coffee since last Friday; first world problem.
@kaolis@Winedavid59@karenhynes
Somewhat, but still testing positive. Over a week now, but just a week since I actually first tested.
Thanks.
And I’ve got a '13 of that open in the fridge right now; good stuff at +12.
@MarkDaSpark@rjquillin@Winedavid49@Winedavid59 Too true. Every day I get an email saying your wine will be delivered tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow. Hopefully it is still lovely. And no, it never made it on the truck for delivery. Maybe tomorrow.
@MarkDaSpark@rjquillin ok, so that was the longest trip back from the central valley to Sonoma. note to self, don’t take an electric car on a trip through the san juaquin valley. paltry options for charging stations…
clue? i am VERY excited to bring this RPM alum winery back together with us. Maybe the proprietor play some music during the offer!
good evening. this may be the most fun offer we’ve ever done. two " Rushmore" winemakers, both of them labratting each other’s wines. wines neither of them will produce again. i could not be more excited.
@MarkDaSpark@Winedavid49@Winedavid59 Noceto gets mentioned in this category as well, as well as Wellington (but I’m doubtful of that, but it would be very special!).
@MarkDaSpark@Winedavid59
I saw that…are Sonoma Plaza and Sonoma Square the same place/thing? I haven’t been in the area in years. Overdue for a visit, me thinks!
Capo Isetta:
This tasting room is located on the Sonoma Plaza and has been open for a few weeks. It features a back room with comfortable seating for four and plans for another room with a TV and large table.
@jmdavidson1@MarkDaSpark@rjquillin@Winedavid59 I think it was actually a woot gathering. molarchae and I were camping in Calaveras County, were trying to get to Scott’s, and then got a flat tire. We got there late, but enjoyed the 1982 Late Harvest Riesling that Scott made and shared!
@klezman Dont you remember the rpm tour during which we had dinner in the vineyard and afterwards we went to his cellar and he opened his homemade something?
Scott is very generous to us. It was several times … RPM Tour and at least 2 times we were there AFTER the PS I LOVE You silent auction party that us Wooters gathered there on the following night.
So while most of us were wooters, we did have several non-wooters there (after hitting favorite wineries that day). WD & WineFarm came by at least 1 time too.
@winedavid59
Just in case you’ve lost track of when this is.
I think tomorrow is Friday.
Aren’t we due for a clue?
@rjquillin hah! You are right!!
I need a butler! (Yes that is part of the clue)
Knights Valley offering!
Great for the mansion!
@rjquillin @Winedavid49 Moran Manor?
@Winedavid49
There’s some Beringer that may fit that profile;
but which one?
And I like the Moran Manor direction better.
Anagram would be a pricy selection.
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark he all! clue? i bet this wine has a great soul. maybe that of a lion.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Daou?
@karenhynes @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Daou “Soul of a Lion” sure fits. Surprising as there was a Daou offering just two weeks ago.
@karenhynes @Mark_L @Winedavid59
That was last year!

@karenhynes @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 I’ll guess King estate. (King of the jungle).
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Leoni?
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
clue? Lorna & Clyde
@Winedavid59

@klezman clue?
Shandling, Will
@klezman @Winedavid59

@klezman @Winedavid59
Gary Farrell
@karenhynes @klezman @Winedavid59
Tie? Both said " a few seconds ago" !!
@klezman @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
I haven’t even opened a bottle from the last case.
it’s on my “short list” of options for this weekend.
@karenhynes @klezman @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
do let us know, but before this weekend
about to watch the football game!
this is a major event, this white wine is a major discount. unlike the name on the label (sp?).
@Winedavid59
Sterling Vineyards?
Tayson Pierce Rothchild?
@Winedavid59 good game
@rjquillin @Winedavid59 bad pun
@Winedavid59
Good clue
Another football game and time for another clue @WineDavid59!
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark pretty distracted!
clue?
a new favorite (2nd offer?) for a great deal on wine just a hop down Paso way.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 I didn’t do any research but I’m saying frogs leap
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Rabbit Ridge? Have they been here?
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Isn’t Oceano from SLO, a stone’s throw from Paso
@msten @Winedavid59 @karenhynes
@karenhynes @msten @Winedavid59
Although, WD did indicate they’d been up at least once, and neither Rabbit Ridge nor Frolicking Frog Cellars has been up yet.
So maybe it is Oceano, but not sure where the “hop” comes in … ??
And SLO is down Paso way …
@karenhynes @msten @Winedavid59
Aha! Sneaky, sneaky WD!
Goats can “hop”. And while from Flying Goat Cellars (who have had several offers), their YNOT? Label has only been up once!
Santa Barbara County is “close” to Paso.
Google also had the Oceanic Dolphin “hopping” … really? But that “could” be the reason if it’s Oceano …

@karenhynes @MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid59 dang I even ratted that one
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 clue?
not only the name of a winery, but also a color or fabric, and a town in Mass.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
Somerset Vineyards and Winery.
@msten @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
There’s also Andover Estate Wines in the Arroyo Seco appellation (Monterey region).
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
Well done!
Uh huh!
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark
A worthy repeat. I think you’ll agree they always hit the mark
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49
Slingshot?
@karenhynes @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 Probably, but i’ll go with “Markus Wine Co.”, just for contrarianism.
Archery Summit?
@DanOR ooo. That’d be nice in the future!
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark hello. apologies. just had a couple of nice glasses with Cameron Hughes (not part of the clue). he’s got some things cooking.

@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 How about funf5 moscato?
@InFrom @Winedavid59
Forgot about Quady …
Clue tonight?
daughter of Davis.
@Winedavid59 Not finding a lot, but maybe Lily Fleur Rose?
@Mark_L @Winedavid59
Or a “daughter” of UC Davis?
Onesta?
@Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
First name Davis
@Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
Alexia (New Zealand)?
@Winedavid59
Stella
@Mark_L @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
Really? Really?
Typo alert!

@Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Hold up. Davis Bynum wine is connected.

@klezman
Sorry, was at Medieval Times and just got home.
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
/giphy wine-clue

@klezman @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49
Good football.
clue? i’d consider this northwest winery a find over the last couple of years. another couple of gems tonight (made by sand?).
@klezman @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 Shannon Ridge Old Pearl?
@Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 More Desert Wind?
@klezman @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 Sandstone Cellars?
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark clue? also a Neil Young song i can’t get out of my head.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Another appearance of Harvest Moon?
@InFrom @Winedavid59
Hoping it’s the song & not the Album!
Iron Horse Heart of the Vineyard Chardonnay?
or
Il Cuore “The Heart” Cabernet Sauvignon?
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Why’s that?
@InFrom @Winedavid59
As in “Heart of Gold” Song, duh!

Which could mean Iron Horse!

@InFrom @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
That was/is an outstanding album
Clue? i don’t think it’s a meritage, but it’s located there.
@Winedavid59
Trinitas??

Thus, begging for more!

@karenhynes @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 chateau haut Merlot
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark clue? no, not just Tannat!
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
The mere mention of tannat brings to mind Y Rousseau or Wine Smith.
@karenhynes @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 And the “not just” suggests Yannick will be back, maybe with one of his Cabernets.
Clue? we hold these truths…
@Winedavid59
Obvious Wines?
@karenhynes @Winedavid59 alternate winery
Clue? solid repeat at a better price. perfect for home or bungalow.

@Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark

it’s been nuts how long it took me to get this winery back for another offer. but i persevered
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Maybe Noceto. Wine club is “nuts”.
@MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid59 Oh, that makes sense.
It’s totally WD’s diabolical plan to wait until just after Berserker Day to unleash irresistible deals. Shame on you!
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
More likely the charm of Alice, or WineFarm …
@Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark hah, great movie scene!!
this is a chance to buy again on a great value wine from San Carlos (Altamira) and Tunuyán regions!
@Winedavid59
Carlos Basso aka Bodega Amalia

@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Inconceivable! (but probable!)
@Winedavid59

@Winedavid59 Something from Armida, perhaps?
@Winedavid59
Michael Pozzan
@rjquillin @Winedavid59 @InFrom
Or Vampire Vineyards?
@Winedavid59
Armida was my first thought but I will throw Stokes Ghost and Ghost Signs out there.
@chipgreen @Winedavid59 @InFrom @rjquillin
I think only Armida and Vampire have been here in October.
Your 2 have been here several times outside Halloween.

@Winedavid59

@Winedavid59 Warp & Weft?
@Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark clue? excited to run this underappreciated region. personal note. got married at a cathedral in this Valley. near sand hill.

@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 I don’t know where you got married!

@WineDavid59
@MarkDaSpark back in the saddle.
clue?
gaffer.
Early clue. Out at premiere napa “”tasing and “spitting”.
Clue? Apparently it’s also a kind of chestnut.
@Winedavid49 Portuguese Rapadas
@Winedavid49 Enjoy! That sounds like fun! Maybe you can secure a special barrel for us casemateers!
@Winedavid49
Domaine Maraval?
@Winedavid49 One of the many wineries with Castagno in the name?
@Winedavid49 “tasing”???
Gives new meaning to Wine Tastings!
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 I had the same thought when I read “tasing and spitting”. I get a picture of someone swishing wine around in their mouth and spitting it out when they are tased.
@Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark !!
Next to the Margaret River. Apparently they have a beautiful outdoor theatre. Maybe they’ll play that Deniro thriller with Nick Nolte
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49
Cape Fear Vineyard?
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49
Meh… that’s in NC…unlikely.
I shall halt consumption and continue searching. Soon.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49
There’s a Cape Mentelle, though no Nolte on staff.
@Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark i’m so sad about Cathy Gore (Cheron98) who passed away way too young. a true friend of this community.
i’m going to tell you what is launching tonight and has been in que for a long time. which makes this coincidence all the mor poignant.
tonight’s offer is from the winery where Cat and Eric (HitanyKey) celebrated their wedding.
Twisted Oak… Man…
@Winedavid59 That is poignant.
She would have appreciated it.
@Winedavid59 You and your timing…ugh
Almost pulled it.
@WineDavid59
@MarkDaSpark place your bets on this wine, you may hit paydirt
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49
Longshot wines.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 Ace of spades
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49
Great clue.
@MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid49 thank you. tonight’s? not so much.
a long par 5 from my home in carneros. first time winery here. killer deal coming up.
@MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 what’s your addy?
@losthighwayz @MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59

I’m not sure exactly where WD lives, but I’m confident is saying…it’s a long waaaaay
@karenhynes @losthighwayz @MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
Can I guess it’s a Pinot?
Robledo?
@chipgreen
I guess Robledo is only a par 4 from the homestead.
@Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark
Clue? “ get a grip on it Peter!”
I crack myself up.
@Winedavid49
Barnard Griffin Winery?
Or Scott Harvey’s The Griffin Society wines?
@Winedavid49
Guess you had to be there?
Thought with the “crack me up” thought it was “Family Guy’s” Peter Griffin, instead, Peter Wellington.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49
I think he was laughing at his own pun. Grip ---- Handal.
@WineDavid59
@Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark good evening. clue ?
an italian next to Ty.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Muscardini!
@losthighwayz @Winedavid59
Probably … but VJB Vineyards & Cellars is in between Ty & Muscardini tasting rooms!
They haven’t shared that tasting room in years!
WD probably forgot they aren’t roomies anymore!

@Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark clue? a Frenchman in Clarksburg can do wonders.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Y Rousseau (Clarksburg Tannat)?
clue?
~$20.00 more this time. but worth it.
@Winedavid59
I think we might need more than that!
So many good’uns!
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Well, in another thread he said to look for Twisted Oak, so maybe more Spaniard? Potty Mouth? Tempranillo?
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 There’s another clue on The Spaniard thread.
@davirom @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 mixed case with come Cockamamie would be great.
@Winedavid59
@Winedavid59
early sell out. great stuff!
good thing we have a great offer coming up. it’s Real Madrid v Barcelona, i’m telling you.
@Winedavid59 Noceto California Classico?
Well at least I had the Classico part right! Can’t believe I didn’t think of Pedroncelli.
Sounds Spanish, so Tempranillo?
@Winedavid59
Hopefully remembered it was Spring “Forward”!

@Winedavid59
Maybe he didn’t?

Clue? this brand does not say storm, but i do think of Schwarzkopf.
@Winedavid59 Desert Wind.
@Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark clue? is this her first white with us after all theze years?
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Laura Michael?
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Gård Vintners
Albariño?
@kawichris650 @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Laura Michael sounds right assuming that “theze” was part of the clue. But then again WD isn’t known for his error-free spelling/typing!
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
I can’t recall a J Dusi white wine.
@kawichris650 @klezman @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Yes, more likely; I see she does do some Chard and has a '23 Chenin on CT.
@MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid59
I have bought several vintages of J. Dusi Pinot Gris here and at the old site. My favorite PG!
I was going to guess Onesta but the only white on their website is a BdB (I wish!), so how about Peterson?
good guess on Laura Michael!
clue? funny, i’m about to take a vacation. a getaway…
@Winedavid59
It was the first and only clue of yours that I was able to figure out.
(But I admit I’m nowhere near as knowledgeable about wineries as many of the others on here.)
@kawichris650 @Winedavid59 All this clue makes me think of is the Dead song. I doubt we’re getting Alabama wine! But I’m sure there are a couple Grateful Dead themed wineries/wines…
@kawichris650 @klezman @Winedavid59 red car
hello, last clue from me for a week or so. Winegirl will be an able replacement. Off to Costa Rica, clue? the beauty, majesty, scope of it all…
@Winedavid59
Stardust? Mulderbosch?
@Winedavid59 Have a great trip!
@InFrom @Winedavid59
Friend of mine retired there; built a house.
It has guest rooms.
Nice piece of property in a very rural area.
What part of CR you visiting?
I’m on deck for the next 2 weeks. Here we go…
This prickly duo hails from the Napa Valley.
Happy Sunday all.
@WCCWineGirl
Welcome back!
Two Old Dogs?

@WCCWineGirl Thorn Hill?
@InFrom @WCCWineGirl Good one!
@InFrom ooooo so close
@WCCWineGirl
@WCCWineGirl
a red blend that shares its name with a sibling.
Too difficult? From Paso.
@WCCWineGirl
Four Sisters?
@WCCWineGirl
Daou?
@WCCWineGirl
Nah, but I got distracted and forgot to check back! Doh!
@WCCWineGirl
Combes Saint Sauveur ?
@MarkDaSpark no but seems close
@MarkDaSpark it does start with a C and Saint is in the wine name
@MarkDaSpark @WCCWineGirl Chateau De Saint Cosme?
my MM bracket not doing so good. Anyways, onto the clue: A wine blend that HOPS between flavors as lively as its name, crafted to leap out of the glass with rich, bold reds and can possibly stain your enamel.

@WCCWineGirl Easy enough that even I can figure out it’s Frog’s Tooth!
@WCCWineGirl maybe I can be a rat again at some point!
Like a mermaid’s kiss on a sunny day, this rosé brings a refreshing blend of fruity and floral notes, perfect for a taste of the Mediterranean.
@WCCWineGirl
Ascension Siren Rosé?
@WCCWineGirl
Mermosa Bubbles by Mermosa Wines
Or other offer from them.
@chipgreen @WCCWineGirl
Bella Sirena Wines?
@chipgreen @WCCWineGirl
So close! Kept thinking it was a European wine because of the “Mediterranean” mention! Doh!
@MarkDaSpark @WCCWineGirl
Figures. La Sirena was actually my first thought but didn’t expect to see a Heidi Barrett wine here.
@chipgreen @MarkDaSpark @WCCWineGirl Why not? La Sirena shows up on Wine Spies often enough.
@klezman @MarkDaSpark @WCCWineGirl
@rjquillin
You are correct. And that can only mean…
Tomorrow is Wednesday.
@kawichris650 @WCCWineGirl @WindDavid59
What a piker for a substitute.

Where’s ElJefe or Peter?
@rjquillin @WCCWineGirl
Perhaps a labrat could chime in with a last second clue? (But I won’t hold my breath.)
@kawichris650 @WCCWineGirl
We don’t need a clue, just ask @karenhynes, she should know for sure!
@karenhynes @rjquillin @WCCWineGirl
Her track record definitely speaks for itself and her mind seems to be in sync with WD, but without any clue whatsoever, even Karen might struggle on this one (unless she happens to be a Lab Rat).
@karenhynes @kawichris650 @rjquillin apologies for my delay.
@kawichris650 @rjquillin @WCCWineGirl

@jwhite6114 @karenhynes @MarkDaSpark @tommythecat @Winedavid59

Unless WD is miscounting, that’s been up st least 5 times already!

@davirom oops
@davirom @Winedavid49 maybe a mystery case? I’m hoping for an assortment of white wines
@davirom @Winedavid49 well done. Agree likely a case deal. ( well, I guess they’re all a “case deal”). Has the Twisted Oak inventory been distributed? I see the “whoops”, but the extra special character could be a loose T.O. reference.
@Winedavid59

Clue? Famous Winemaker same name as movie that infamously interrupted NFL game many years ago.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 Heidi Barrett, but which wine?
@MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid49 Probably correct, but (not as famous) MacRostie has Heidi Bridenhagen as a winemaker.
@Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid49
MacRostie would be enticing, and their office is/was in the same building WD once occupied. And that reminds me I need to go and find some of them…
once this d@*&^% covid departs and I feel like eating/drinking again
@rjquillin Sorry to hear you’re sick. Feel better soon. Eating and drinking are important.
@MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid49

@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59

For now, we’ll just call you Mr. UPS
@MarkDaSpark @rjquillin @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 Too true. Every day I get an email saying your wine will be delivered tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow. Hopefully it is still lovely. And no, it never made it on the truck for delivery. Maybe tomorrow.
@MarkDaSpark @rjquillin @Winedavid49 i deserved that!
@danandlisa @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
Or the two purchases that were delivered weeks before the shipping notice even went out.
early clue so i don’t forget!
even though this is in South America, this wine evokes a
Spanish region.
@Winedavid59
Maybe a Torrontes from La Rioja region of Argentina
@msten @Winedavid59
Or something from the La Riojana Co-op?
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark
perhaps we need to get @winedavid59 a TicToc account so he can keep track of time
@MarkDaSpark @rjquillin ok, so that was the longest trip back from the central valley to Sonoma. note to self, don’t take an electric car on a trip through the san juaquin valley. paltry options for charging stations…
clue? i am VERY excited to bring this RPM alum winery back together with us. Maybe the proprietor play some music during the offer!
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Kunde?
Buena Vista?

Little Vineyards
or Clark…
@rjquillin @Winedavid59
Proprietor playing must be Rich Little from Little Vineyards. Played for us during the first RPM Tour (2008)!
Kunde was on at least the 2010 Tour. BV was in 2008 (first appearance of the count(?) for anyone there). Kent was always after the tours for us.
RPM is the distinguished silver haired gentleman on the left, and the other is @AndyDuncan.
Their Band Blend is fantastic!
@Winedavid59, @Winedavid49
@Winedavid59, @Winedavid49
@MarkDaSpark It had better be an All Star offering!
He’s stuck in a UPS truck; delivery tomorrow, possibly
@rjquillin @Winedavid49 Perfect answer! Maybe the day after…

@Winedavid59, @Winedavid49
@Winedavid59 @Winedavid49
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49
good evening. this may be the most fun offer we’ve ever done. two " Rushmore" winemakers, both of them labratting each other’s wines. wines neither of them will produce again. i could not be more excited.
enjoy this.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 Maybe Pedroncelli? Scott Harvey?
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 Noceto gets mentioned in this category as well, as well as Wellington (but I’m doubtful of that, but it would be very special!).
@Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 Not sure if they both have attained “Mt. Rushmore”-stature, but I’m going with Twisted Oak and Onesta.
@InFrom @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 I don’t know if Onesta has Rushmore status. But Pedroncelli, Scott, Wellington, Twisted Oak, and Noceto definitely have it.
@InFrom @klezman @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
Are these sticky?
@InFrom @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @rjquillin @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59 All of the above make/made port. All delicious, too!

@karenhynes @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Good guess. And probably accurate, but not the answer!
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
I saw that…are Sonoma Plaza and Sonoma Square the same place/thing? I haven’t been in the area in years. Overdue for a visit, me thinks!
@karenhynes @Winedavid59
I believe so …

@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Keller Estate Rôtie?
@Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Taht sounds accurate! Maybe I should open up a bottle of the 2016 I have.
@klezman @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Those have all been good, from what I recall, but I’d have to dig back a few more vintages to find one.
happy friday!
clue? Jenna and Greg…

Dharma is a line of wines produced by Bodega Calle
@WineDavid59 @Winedavid49
@MarkDaSpark Howdy. clue? a select few have tasted his brandy underneath the house… and it was, like his wines, great as expected.
@Winedavid59
Scott Harvey!
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
What, you can’t elevate “underneath the house” to cellar?
@rjquillin @Winedavid59
Well, technically, it didn’t start as a wine cellar!
@MarkDaSpark @rjquillin @Winedavid59 that was the best time I’ve ever had in a Kosher slaughterhouse.
@klezman @MarkDaSpark @rjquillin @Winedavid59 Was that rpm 2014?
@jmdavidson1 @MarkDaSpark @rjquillin @Winedavid59 I think it was actually a woot gathering. molarchae and I were camping in Calaveras County, were trying to get to Scott’s, and then got a flat tire. We got there late, but enjoyed the 1982 Late Harvest Riesling that Scott made and shared!
@klezman Dont you remember the rpm tour during which we had dinner in the vineyard and afterwards we went to his cellar and he opened his homemade something?
@jmdavidson1 @klezman @rpm
I think that may have been the '12 tour; were you on that one? I know you went on the '14 but don’t have the details handy…
@klezman @rjquillin Yes.
@jmdavidson1 yes, there were multiple times we did that!
@jmdavidson1 @klezman @rjquillin @Winedavid59
Clue?

Also there’s Castaway Island Chardonnay from
New Zealand Gisborne (very remote possibility!)
@InFrom @Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
Kicking myself … CAST was the first on Google, and wanted to list it as CAST(away) and left it off focusing on the “Wilson” aspect! Doh!
