Ok, I “get” the Howell (Howling) part. And the Bravo part. But the “angui-sh” part is still obscure!

@Winedavid59
Going down a rabbit hole (pun intended)…
Scott Harvey??
@karenhynes @Winedavid59
Yes
@karenhynes @msten @Winedavid59
I was thinking him as well, but that’s a Griffin, not a lion.
@MarkDaSpark @msten @Winedavid59
But a griffin is 1/2 lion…
@InFrom Here’s the image you requested for “half a lion”
good evening. clue?
“dust” farm.
i may have used this clue before, if so, my apologies.
@Winedavid59
Desert Wind
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 I think it was Rutherford Ranch last time this clue appeared.
@Winedavid59
Rutherford Ranch.
Once again, as someone noted the last time:
Ranch =/= Farm
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Or ≠ or <>.
@Mark_L @Winedavid59
The first looks like a there’s a speck on your screen on the equal sign! Thought that when @rjquillin used it for last year’s clue.
Forgot about the second. Does it really matter Dude?

@MarkDaSpark @rjquillin @Winedavid59 Nah…just my 54-year-old math degree (what’s left of it) kicking in.
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark damn, meant to give the clue before i got on the plane. my bad.
clue? i want to be the only one, for miles and miles…except for maybe you and your simple smile…
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 el vaquero

@Winedavid59
El Pino Club?
@Winedavid59 Any Torcido still floating around?
@Winedavid59
Twisted Oak Tempranillo or The Spaniard? Is there still some left?
@karenhynes @Winedavid59 @InFrom @kawichris650
Trinitas Cellars
Elkhorn Peak Cellars
Etude Wines
Thinking American Canyon
Or maybe something related to Lee Greenwood … (“Proud to be an American”) …
Vincent Arroyo Petite Sirah, Greenwood Ranch
or Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars ARTEMIS Cabernet Sauvignon (Ste. Michelle Wine Estates purchased the 56-acre Greenwood Vineyards).
literal transaltion
@Winedavid59 And yet we didn’t get it!
@InFrom @Winedavid59
Maybe because it ISN’T a literal translation? Even the write-up says so.

@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark a new one! this clue may be very vague for many. but, Winegirl use to work there.
@MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Hmmmm…I want to say Ty Caton??
But that doesn’t sound quite right…
@karenhynes @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 she did work there IIRC. Maybe Muscardini also.
@karenhynes @klezman @Winedavid59
She worked for both. First for Ty at their shared tasting room close to where Wellington was located, then Muscardini hired her away.
Then WD got her to work for him!
@karenhynes @klezman @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 it’s a winery new to casemates?
@CruelMelody I think WD was referring to the new meme.
@Winedavid49 @Winedavid59
@MarkDaSpark Or a half(-time) clue?
@Mark_L @MarkDaSpark

Must be some sort of sports thingy holding him up…
@karenhynes @MarkDaSpark Lame excuse. We’re watching!
@karenhynes @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark
ok, ok.
Van Gogh did this often. “Wheatfield under thunder” clouds is an example.
Seattle looking to take it home. (not a clue)
@karenhynes @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
The name of the painting suggests chiaroscuro. But there appear to be multiple wines with that name.
The game has turned into a laugher. The commercials were so-so. The halftime show rocked!
@karenhynes @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 I did think it was nice of Jason Kelce to give free advertising to meh.
@InFrom @karenhynes @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 And for a guess, how about Texture Wines?
@InFrom @karenhynes @Mark_L @Winedavid59
Capital Call Wheatfield Vines Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Or
Panorama Vineyard
@InFrom
Nah. Halftime show was the worst I’ve ever seen.
@MarkDaSpark You were watching Kid Rock?
@InFrom @MarkDaSpark Mark if you watched the halftime show, why do object? I don’t speak Spanish but i understood the thought behind this. It is , in it essence, that this nation is melting pot and we can arise above hate. That is what I got out of it.
@karenhynes @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 He Painted Fields? Oy.
@InFrom @MarkDaSpark Dare I ask why you thought it was so bad?
@danandlisa @InFrom @klezman
Not the Spanish singing. We’ve had Spanish singing at halftime before. And Ricky Martin was terrific!
No, it was Bad Bunny’s singing (if you could call it that) and “dancing”. We’ve had much better shows in the past! The choreography was atrocious. My granddaughters dance better!

As for the “melting pot”??? That’s the NFL trying to expand their audience to Central & South America! I heard they’re trying to get an expansion team in Mexico.
InFrom, wait, I could have watched Kid Rock instead? Now you tell me!

Klez, dare I ask why you thought it was so good?

@danandlisa @InFrom @MarkDaSpark Sparky, you’re assuming I thought it was “so good”. I merely asked a question and you inferred an opinion. That’s illogical
I didn’t much enjoy it. I didn’t really have much reaction to it at all. Not my sort of thing, along with 95%+ of the music created in the last 15 years. And I couldn’t care less what language music is sung in because lyrics barely register with me. I’d heard somebody describe him as a reggaeton artist and that didn’t show through to me. I most enjoyed the salsa section.
I also couldn’t care less about dancing and what people think is appropriate. Who am I to judge the value of a different part of the culture?
@danandlisa @InFrom @klezman
Sorry, but from your comments, "Dare I ask why you … ", I inferred (incorrectly) that you were with InFrom in enjoying it, since you added the Dare part. That seemed slightly (mostly?) insulting to me. You probably didn’t mean it that way, but that’s the way it sounded to me. I apologize if you didn’t mean it that way, but that’s how it sounded to me. Internetz is not the best place for tone.
Dance should be able to transcend language and inspire the audience. Flopping around is not “Dancing”. It’s why people can enjoy Ballet or any other actual dancing with music. And you’re the one bringing up “appropriate” …
Breakdancing is still dancing, albeit with body parts not just feet. And again, it’s not what Bad Bunny was singing, it was his horrible voice. I wish Ricky Martin had been the headliner!
@InFrom @klezman @MarkDaSpark Again, I don’t like Bad Bunny. I don’t like his music. I do however understand his message and for me that is enough. We are a mess, complicated nation made of messy parts. We need to celebrate this. We need to as Bunny says, let not hate win. We need to let light and love win.
@danandlisa @InFrom @MarkDaSpark
This
@danandlisa @InFrom @klezman @MarkDaSpark
as promised, early clue!
a highly regarded RR pinot house. it’s all hydraulics these days!
@danandlisa @InFrom @klezman @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 Perhaps Iron Horse?
@danandlisa @InFrom @klezman @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59
Sounds like an excellent guess!
@karenhynes I thought you would approve!
@karenhynes @Mark_L good guess, but no.
@danandlisa @InFrom @karenhynes @klezman @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 How about Cable Zero?
@danandlisa @InFrom @karenhynes @klezman @Mark_L @Winedavid59
Well, Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery has been here before.
Merry Edwards Winery has been mentioned.
@danandlisa @InFrom @karenhynes @klezman @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark ok, this clue may have been rushed. just to keep us on track. :0
there is a company, that focuses on hydrolics that possesses the same name.
long live jessica.
@danandlisa @InFrom @karenhynes @klezman @MarkDaSpark @Winedavid59 I see Victor Hydraulics and Victor Hill Wines.
@danandlisa @InFrom @karenhynes @klezman @Mark_L @MarkDaSpark ironically, this wine is not made in Germany.
whoa. ok, i’m going to have to break rank and give an early clue… early tomorrow…
There’s a reason i choose not to look at the poli-tiks page, like never. let’s either drop it or move to another section. if you please.
(parting non partisan comment: Can’t we all agree Jessica Alba still looks amazing).
WD
