Adjusting wine acidity after bottling
0Been wondering for some time now if I can purchase tartaric acid on Amazon to add to flabby wine. For example, I purchased a case of the Gard single vineyard syrahs recently and found the first bottle I opened undrinkable due to its lack of acidity.
Hope to get both professional and home winemakers on here! I’d hate to see such great wine go to waste

Of course, you would be running a massive experiment unless you have existing TA numbers and you can work out the chemistry to get to a new number you prefer. But if the wine is undrinkable to you, then maybe that’s alright. Or you could cook with them.
