So I got the email letting me know I was selected to be a lab rat for the 1st time and was really excited. One small issue… It was not a red wine. Lets just put it this way I drink a lot of wine but I really only drink reds by choice. So bear with me while I try to work through reviewing a Rosé.
The color of the wine is what I would call peach but my wife corrects me and says it looks more like an apricot color. The smell is pleasant. I smell notes of citrus, I can’t make out what fruit I am smelling but it doesn’t have the alcohol smell that some white wines give off upon first sniff.
I took a couple sips and the first thing I noticed was how smooth and balanced the flavor profile was. I am picking up the citrus I smelled but the only thing that comes through that I can identify is the grapefruit. I am also picking up some floral notes as the wine continues to breathe. I am quite surprised at how easy this wine is going down and if it wasn’t pouring rain outside in south Florida right now I would think this would be a good wine to enjoy in warmer weather.
If you are into Rosé I can’t really see why this wouldn’t be a good purchase. It is really easy to drink and I had to cut myself off considering it is a Sunday night.
After writing this I looked up the wine on the website. It seems to originally go for just under $30 and for the $10/bottle per case it is going for now it seems like a steal. I would love to try some of the red wines from this winery too in the future.
Hope this helps a little and have a good week!

My wife and I have converted quite a few people and continue to educate those who still think Rosé = White Zinfandel. They are really missing out and it’s always our pleasure to help get them up to speed.
We have been lucky to have been selected as a Lab Rat for this wine.
100% Pinot Noir. Very nice and easy drinking rosé. This wine has a fresh flavors with strawberry and citrus balanced by clean minerality and a nice balance of acidity.
We paired this with duck breast and it has a nice dry finish. Worth the asking price.

@arianaWCC I bought a case thinking I’d take a chance on it. By the time I opened the first bottle I regretted not buying several cases. I’ll compile a list of my top value wines from you guys. Really love what you are doing.

Agree wholeheartedly with Seeds and WD above. Delicious wine, beautiful label (with matching cork).

Vineyard and Winemaker’s notes
Grapes were de-stemmed and sorted into the press for a long and gentle Champagne style cycle. The juice was chilled and allowed to softly ferment over three weeks. The wine was stored in a stainless steel tank until bottling.

@klezman Not that I’m a follower of Marie Kondo, but I have to say that I’ve been extra-aware lately of how much stuff I own. So I didn’t go for that offer either.
I have enjoyed the Pinots I’ve tried with fruit sourced from Sangiacomo Vineyard, so am looking forward to trying this Rose, especially at the case price.

Darn, PA isn’t on the list. I’m surprised since we got the red Apriori last year. Any reason? Would have been an autobuy otherwise.
This looks nice. Perfect timing for spring.
And I’ve got a coupon burning a hole in my pocket.
@CorTot One of the coupons for the glasses? Or is there another round coming out? (Not that I need even more wine…)
@CorTot
…and having been denied the Campesino Isa earlier, you have money to go with the coupon!
@klezman the one from the logo glasses.
@CorTot molarchae vetoed those since we have too many glasses we already never use. Yes, even for free glasses. So no coupons for me!
@klezman Not that I’m a follower of Marie Kondo, but I have to say that I’ve been extra-aware lately of how much stuff I own. So I didn’t go for that offer either.

This must be what the rappers mean by “thicky-thick”?
@chipgreen How can I say no to a nice Rose? I’ll take 3 if you’re willing to part with that many after others in NE OH wake up and chime in.
@chipgreen I thought the giphy was going to blowup…BANG!
@chipgreen @mrn1 I’ll take 3 if you’re still splitting.
@chipgreen What happened to your gif/giphy whatever it was? It changed! Censors?!
@kaolis
I guess? I’ve seen more risque pics on my teenage niece’s Instagram, but hey it’s not my playground.
@Boatman72 @mrn1
3 for each of you and 6 for me, done!
@chipgreen @kaolis That would suck if your original got censored. This is an over 21 site, I believe? Wonder if they censor Walmart giphys?
@chipgreen @mrn1 Outstanding!!!
@Boatman72 @chipgreen @Winedavid49 Thanks! Teamwork…and NE OH has a nice CaseMates team!
