I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever heard the Britney song in its entirety. I managed to successfully avoid her almost entirely.
@karenhynes@rjquillin@ThomasF Yeah, I wasn’t a fan at the time, but in retrospect I have to give props for some well-made records. My guard was lowered by repeated listens to “Toxic” with one of my Wii dance games, but I really started to pay attention when no less a guitar god than Richard Thompson covered “Oops” in his survey of a millenium of pop songs. Talk about an earworm!

My then g/f now wife was a fan of Britney Spears and “Oops…”, while my guilty pleasure was Christina Aguilera’s “Genie in a Bottle”. I told her then and it’s still true now - Christina is a singer, Britney is an entertainer.
those are songs?
You forgot the option for “neither”.
@karenhynes Neither is a cop out! We got a forced dichotomy this time!
@karenhynes @ThomasF
I’d hate to have either as an earworm.
@karenhynes I think “Silent Night” should have been the third option.
@karenhynes @rjquillin @ThomasF I dunno Ron, that Britney song is pretty catchy, I have to admit I kinda like it. I can think of worse.*
*Everybody just go ahead and imagine a Rickroll link here. I’m too lazy to go to the trouble.

This?
No, I didn’t listen/watch it.

Wow, that was a tough one. Relatively speaking, they’re close enough that I had a hard time choosing.
