Either @ScottW58 or @buffaloroam or I are closest to the one in Palisades. The fires are far enough from me that I am unconcerned. The smoke is moving away from my direction at the moment, too.
@Winedavid59 Truly, this is zero risk to my house. Can’t even smell the smoke since the wind is blowing the other way.
But speaking of power outages, we just had a short one.
None out this way… yet. We burned good this season already. From the Line Fire, the ash actually damaged the finish on the door nobs/locks on my back patio, which is under a porch.
They have said with the Santa Ana’s that there might be planned and unplanned power outages. Be sure you’ve stocked up
@ScottW58
They all start small…
It’s windy down here too, and I have still fresh memories of 2003 and 2007.
Thankful they were right on it.
You’ve sure got a mess up there, like us from those two I mentioned down here.
One I recall hearing propane tanks venting fire and ammunition popping off only a few blocks away, as that is how close it came to us.
@rjquillin@ScottW58 I’ve never had anything that close to me, living in the flats and all. But be careful up in the hills, Scott - the winds have a way of shifting at night. It would take a lot of it, though, for the flame to hop over 405.

View from my office this morning…

@Cerridwyn scary
We had a 3 acre one down in SD they jumped on very quickly.
@rjquillin
Is 3 acres really a fire? As long as the winds keep blowing towards the ocean we are okay. Fingers crossed.
