Condolences to HitAnyKey42
4Long time Casemates and Wine Wooter @Cheron98 has sadly passed away. I’ll let her husband, @HitAnyKey42 decide on which details to pass on to us.
They met during a NoVa/DC Wine.Woot Gathering, with HaK proposing at Corison during a WW Magical Historical Tour.
She hosted gatherings in the Detroit before tying the knit with HaK. As well as traveling around the US for Wine.Woot Gatherings.
She will be missed!

We were there for the proposal at Corison. What a perfect place for HaK and Cat to get engaged! So very sorry to hear this news. Prayers to HaK and both of their families.
I remember well the Western Woot Wedding Weception we held for them at Twisted. They were so good together, this is incredibly sad.
Very sad to see this news. My condolences to HAK and everyone that had the good fortune to cross paths with Cat. She opened her door to me when I was just a screen name on a wine forum. That led to me meeting so many interesting people over the wine woot years. Great memories pop into my head from all the wine gatherings she hosted all the time. Going to have to dig out something special to pop open this weekend.
I was so sad to hear the updates Michelle was getting the past couple weeks. Our hearts go out to all who loved her.

Finally getting around to posting here. I’ve already posted and shared various other places (mostly FB)…
First, thank you Sparky for posting above and such.
This has of course been an incredibly hard past couple weeks, with totally random total breakdowns. Every once in awhile friends and family helping bring out a laugh or two.
It all happened so very fast, with initial diagnosis only happening on Jan 21st in an ER with scans showing a large mass in colon and smaller masses in the liver. First treatment was supposed to be on 2/19, but that never happened as she was admitted on 2/18 with extremely high ammonia levels, etc. Things seemed to be slowly improving as the week went on and then she abruptly coded in front of me Saturday morning and was put on full life support, but all organs were already shutting down by Sunday. Just typing this just brought me to tears again, so just going to paste below the info I had shared elsewhere:
Memorial Service for Cat will be held at the Salvation Army Montclair Citadel on Saturday, April 5th at 2pm.
Address is: 13 Trinity Place, Montclair, NJ 07042
Following the service there will be light refreshments and fellowship.
