I had more than one slingshot, but don’t recall EVER having one that was purchased. They were just too easy to make. I was finally forbidden to shoot at my brother (he was forbidden to shoot at anything alive), which took some of the joy out of it.
You need decent reflexes, and good eyesight, to be effective. I’m not sure I could even find the proper leather pieces to make a decent slingshot nowadays…

And we made them using the rubber tubes (hose) from the Biology Lab
Yeah man those were kick ass slingshots! Lucky I grew up when I did i’m sure today nobody gives there kids anything like a slingshot
