Do Early-Bird VMPs get the $10 coupons?
5The VMP email I got this morning says
As a special offer to VMP members only, when you back our campaign for $60 (the “1-year Free Shipping” reward level) you’ll get half that value back in the form of three $10 coupons valid through the end of 2018
Does that also apply if we pledged $50 for the Early-bird 1-year Free Shipping reward level?

I upped my early bird VMP by $100. So as to purchase myself a party or remote party level.
Total $150.
Hoping the kinks can be straightened out.

I think this next is correct:
If you want both VMP and a party option, choose a $100 party option as your pledge.
Then manually add $60 to your pledge by clicking “manage your pledge”. That should get both VMP perks and the party option.

@f00l yes, your follow up is the preferred path so we don’t miscalculate party attendance. But we can handle a few who did the reverse due to confusion.

Well that kinda stinks. I had originally pledged $50 but then changed it to $60 per the email.
@Vyntage Are you still in the Early-bird pledge? Or did you cancel and re-pledge at the $60 non-early-bird level? If the former, you should be able to change back to $50.

I then went back and changed my pledge to $60:

I change my $150 to $160 because it wasn’t clear if I could take advantage of the early bird pricing when I backed it this morning.
I think I just heard @dave facepalm all the way from Texas. These little details must give every Kickstarter project creator ulcers.
We’ll find a way to appreciate the $10 extra that some of you funded. Hoping there’s a time stamp or backer # so we can pinpoint when early-bird was available.
@snapster Appreciate it buying yourselves champagne? Mediocre champagne of course, nothing wooty, though you can get some bubbly for $10 a bottle today.
@snapster Very kind. you’ll have a good time tracking my foolishness. $10-$50-$60-$160. The more questions I asked the more confused and wanting i became.
@snapster This is not definitive, but I was backer #253, and when I pledged there was one early bird $50 left; after I pledged there were none. But I don’t know if I lucked on to a cancellation or if it really was the last one of the initial batch. Time of email was 16:35:57 UTC (10:35:57 AM Central). If that helps…

@duodec I’m backer #110…originally did the $50 but changed to $60 and hour or so later due to the confusion…maybe you inherited mine!
I found the link to the kickstarter through wine.woot. The Meh VMP email is DHs. I used my email for the kickstarter. Will that get sorted out later or did I really screw up?
@mtb002 yes, this will get sorted out in an official way with the Backer Survey that is sent by us through Kickstarter at the end of the campaign (2 weeks)
Very confusing. There’s yet a different secret group in addition to the highest tier (which we came to through Wine Woot)?

@time2testit So many groups getting so many offers. You’re on the WCC email list, you get in for the VMP level and you get $30 in coupons. Right?

@klezman Odd thing is I signed up for WCC when I got my last shipment from woot with the insert about signing up, and I only ever got the confirmation email from them, nothing else.
@time2testit for what it’s worth, wine.woot email sign ups through WCC were given highest tier status on timing and we hooked you up with the VMP level promotion.

@RascalMJ You will get an email and then you will fill in your UID info and probably shirt size at that time.

Agree, that was confusing. I went for the $60 since I wasn’t sure. Would be great if there was some extra perk added for those of us that did the non-early bird to even things out. Meh.

I bought the $100 Remote Party Pack and manually added $60 to the amount. I’m assuming the Backer Survey they send out once the Kickstarter ends will include everything I need to enter to get the perks that come with both.
@snapster Have the coupon codes gone out? If they have I missed the email or haven’t gotten mine. Please advise if you don’t mind. Thanks!

How I tell if the VMP is on my account?
@aces219 Hover over the little icon to the left of your name on any of your posts. (in your case, the “K”). A little popup will tell all the badges you have.
In your case, you only have the Kickstarter badge as of now.

@chipgreen generally the issue is a combination of survey responses not matching account details, or in several cases, a Kickstarter not having an account yet. Outside of working through support, there isn’t a straightforward way to reconcile that.
