It has been wonderful keeping my Chicago-region phone number since moving to Missouri. Almost all of the junk calls come “from” Chicago area codes. If I get a call from my local area code, I will usually answer it because it’s most likely real (I’ve had one junk call in 3 years).
Never answer, and don’t set up voicemail either.

I use a call blocker. If your not in my contact list you go directly to vm, no ring, no notifications, maybe I’ll listen to the vm.
