I used to use Emeril’s seasoning on grilled vegetables until I discovered this homemade grilled veggie seasoning. Yes, you have to make it yourself, but a single batch lasts a long time. One substitution I almost always make is replacing cayenne pepper with ground chipotle – it has such wonderful flavor (as well as heat).
Not sure as to the question, but a little bit of rubbing never hurts when adding spice.
