I speed; I have the tickets to prove it. Thankfully, I live in the Midwest and travel interstates through middle of nowhere where I can easily clip triple digits with no traffic. (Speed doesn’t kill, it is the differential of speed that is dangerous! Don’t drive like me in congestion, because I don’t drive like that either.)
My biggest problem is the left-lane passive-aggressive wanna-be cops causing the 9 cars to be bumper to bumper doing 3 mph over the speed limit while you take 5 miles to overtake a semi, because you are a respectful driver!!! If I were king, those people would lose their privileges yesterday.
As someone who speeds, often egregiously, there is nothing that I enjoy seeing more than someone coming up on me in the left lane when I am already flying by other cars.
Hell yea! I am going to get out of your way, and thank you for being my red-neck radar detector. I will stand back at distance and watch your brake lights.
I never understood the people who get pissed off with someone wanting to pass and drive faster. They will get the ticket (or jail, if you cruise like I have mentioned.) so no need for you to try and police or get small-man and cut them off, brake check, etc.
Ever try actually driving the speed limit?
What happens?
@rjquillin
Who’s asking?
I drive the speed of traffic.
Sometimes that’s similar to the speed limit.

@KNmeh7 Isn’t this the way we’re supposed to drive?
@CroutonOllie @KNmeh7 Something we all agree on!
Yes!
I realize it varies by jurisdiction, but a good place to check them all out is here: https://www.drivinglaws.org/topics/speeding-laws
Here, it was always prima facie, or whatever was best given the conditions. Lots of room for interpretation there.
Knew guys who successfully challenged the calibration of radar guns, as that used to be our specialty, but I just paid it; was guilty.
