We had really bad luck over Christmas with 3 corked bottles, a 2008 Wellington Victory, 2005 1er Cru Burgundy, and a 2014 Bell, plus a failed cork on a bottle of 1990 Chateau Sociando Mallet (my youngest brothers birthyear wine so it was a big disappointment!). I think we only opened 1 other bottle all year which was corked… But that’s how it goes!
@knlprez Probably most people buying here don’t have that problem. Bigger problem (at least in my case) is stumbling over the WCC cartons that keep showing up faster than I can put them away.

@knlprez As they say … that’s the way the cork crumbles
@pmarin
Sure is! And why it’s important to have a backup bottle ready at all times!

@knlprez @pmarin I know the feeling.
@knlprez @pmarin I don’t stumble, but I have a problem when they hit me on the head.
