A great place, full of history, and friendly people.
Nothing like sitting in a garden, in the shade, and watching the last of the days’ golden light, reflecting off of the Rock of Gibraltar, after enjoying an afternoon of good wine and company.
Well, the after dinner time is quite special, too.
@chipgreen@InFrom@Mark_L Was waiting for that too. When I was about 7 years old, we had this “Symphonic” brand “stereo” with built-in 8-track player, and this was one of the few 8-tracks I had.
@chipgreen@InFrom@pmarin I saw 3 Dog Night in concert the summer of 1972 at the International Amphitheater in Chicago (also saw Chicago at Ravinia that summer). They have always been high on my list of favorites (although no band will ever surpass the Moody Blues).

Three Dog Night was my first concert ever. 1974 at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Also the first time I got drunk. It only took 3 cans of Blatz beer (I was 12). My friend (same age) drank 4, got sick and swore he would never drink again, haha.

Had to look this up, but we played two dates there in '74, July 9th and 10th. Nice facility back then. How is it now if you’ve been lately?

Very much the same, albeit less of a free for all than it used to be afa people jumping fences, selling drugs in the woods and sliding down the hill during the rain.

Where’s @chipgreen? He’s always good for a musical comment.
@InFrom
Couldn’t have made a better choice myself!
@chipgreen @InFrom The same song came to my mind. I

@chipgreen @Mark_L @pmarin @rjquillin Kids today don’t know what they’re missing…
@chipgreen @InFrom @pmarin @rjquillin
True, although Chuck Negron might say that isn’t such a bad thing (if you’ve ever heard about his “Three Dog Nightmare”).

1982: I’m a Toys-R-Us Kid!
2021: I’m a Blockquote Kid…
I think kids back then had more fun.
@chipgreen @InFrom @pmarin @rjquillin Oops. Somehow I didn’t get the Blockquote quite right.
My favorite “Lady of Spain” along with the entire Ed Sullivan show in 3 minutes and 11 seconds. For you Plaid-o-philes out there.
