Fall and Winter are knocking at the door
0If you let them in, what’s new on your wishlist - stuff you only drink when you can share it with Jack Frost?
With less gatherings, does that list change?
I mean you can even buy pumpkin spice wine … if you dare
or at the very least, relabel your bounty
(Images don’t like me so don’t be surprised)
Or you can make your own, pumpkin spiced mulled wine

Personally I opt for cider or mead to mull, but i know people mull red wine too, so what wine will you serve hot and spicy on a cold winters night? To chase that cold wind from your soul…
Nope when it’s really cold a vodka gimlet works wonders!
@ScottW58
As does scotch!
@kawichris650 @ScottW58
well duh
scotch always worked
When I am soaked because of my long dog walks, even with the best rain gear, it is tea and whiskey for me. Need something warm to chase the chill away.
That pumpkin spiced wine sounds good, ill make some of that. How do you mull your mead?
@Twich22
over a low fire, I typically add orange peel, and cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg; sometimes allspice or star anise, but not often on the anise. had one with ginger once, didn’t care for it.
@Cerridwyn I usually make a christmas mull in a similar style with red wine. I may try a mead as well since I happen to have some mead that I dont particularly like on its own. Do you add any alcohol?
@Twich22
more than already in the mead? no.
serve it warm with a twist of orange peel and / or a cinnamon stick garnish.
