Used to read the “Life in Hell” cartoons in a free local paper in Santa Cruz, 1980s. And I was thinking “who is this Matt Groening guy?.” Then somebody said there was some TV show starting from “the Life in Hell guy.” At the time I didn’t do much TV (evil thing, that TV). Hard to believe, how many years has it been on now, 35 years I think?
Now my life has degraded to TV 12 hours a day, probably like the rest of us (you can watch while working from home, yay!) And Actually I have not kept up-to-date with The Simpsons. Somewhat regret that but we all do what we can to binge as much as humanly possible.

I remember when The Simpsons were first on TV, as animated shorts before and after commercial breaks on the Tracy Ullman Show. I was excited when I found out they were getting their own show and watched them a lot in the early years.
The quality started to suffer after awhile. Then Family Guy came along and it was like The Simpsons on steroids. I never looked back.
