Scotch and Bourbon have been my interest over the past few years. I love the “smoke bombs” of the Islay/Islands scotches. Still a novice, but thinking of a trip to Scotland in 2020 or 2021 to learn more.
Scotch, yep, especially when I find something unique and learn how to enjoy it. Bought a bottle of Orangerie Scotch Whisky Infusion. It is apparently not a new thing. Out of the bottle in a regular glass, it’s nothing special. Using a Norlan glass with an angel’s kiss of water, the orange pops on the nose and it becomes very enjoyable.
Real scotch glasses have a different way of channeling smells that just really makes a difference.
Love bourbons and scotches. I’ll drink the smoke bombs like laphroiag but prefer the slightly smoother ones. Bourbons I run the gamut and keep about 10 bottles or so on tap at any given time.
Absolutely. Not a huge fan of some of the Scotch brands because of the peat. That just hasn’t been something I have been able to “learn to enjoy”.

@deadlyapp can I see your whiskey tap?
@jml326 haha I didn’t mean a physical tap, but I keep around 10 bottles or so in my liquor cabinet at any given time.
@deadlyapp idk maybe you have a wall mount dispenser like some bars.
