Currently the most popular project on Kickstarter. Wonder how long we can keep beating that bad ass bike light and those lids that seem to fit on practically anything?
As of 10:40 AM EST, Casemates is back on top, ahead of the bike lights. I note that the universal jar lids have fallen to fourth place, behind the smartphone on your dashboard thing.
Hey I think I’m missing the explanation somewhere but I’ve been looking. I see a lot of people already have the “v” next to their name. Is that the charter badge? I’ve pledged $160, how do I get mine added?
The V is for VMP, the unlimited-shipping feature, which has existed for a few years now (mostly used over on Meh.com) but is closed to new members except for this specific reward.
We’ll be adding VMP and badges after the event ends, possibly a week or so after that.
At the $160 level, you will be getting VMP and the charter badge. The charter badge is likely to be a K (for Kickstarter) as we did that on Meh and over on that forum you can see who was a backer for that project. (Disclaimer - we haven’t 100% made these decisions yet, that’s a guess.)
After all WineDavid has done for this over the years, getting in on this was a no-brainer. Now I just have to get used to the different style of the forum.
For instance, if you really don’t like the “streaming” comments we use here, you can turn on pagination. (But I’d encourage you to try out the default settings for a bit to see if you get used to them. We think they’re better [of course])
@dave Read my comment literally: I have to get used to the different style. Didn’t mean to indicate resistance, much less unwillingness. I wouldn’t want Sparky calling me a Luddite (again):
I’ve not used Kickstarter before, but once the campaign is complete do we provide more information for redemption? I didn’t realize until after I signed up that I used a different email for my meh account than I did for my Kickstarter account, and I wasn’t sure if it’s something I’d need to email support about so I don’t end up with a new account created.
@andrd Yep, we’ll be sending out surveys to people who backed us at different levels and we’ll be asking about what email account and username you’ve got here.
@andrd The fulfillment phase has varied for the Kickstarters I’ve participated in, but in general it’s pretty quiet during the “open enrollment” phase, then there’s a, “You’re in! Wait…who are you and what did you actually order?!” phase, followed by, "Get ready! It’s coming and it’s going to be EPICAWESOMESAUCEFABULOUS updates.
The timing for this campaign isn’t the best for me, but I did want to say Congrats! I am hoping this is the beginning of lots of other communities returning to the guys that started it all. And I really want some Refrescante to reappear!
Congrat’s! Speaks volumes about the WW community and the faith it has in WD39.
I wonder how High it will get. Any guesses?
I’m thinking 175K or so.
That was quick. Time to pop open a bottle of Help Yourself. After all, 50,000 is a large number.
@markgm
@markgm I just popped my first bottle tonight
Congrats!

@shawn As of this minute you are second to the bike light. I thought for sure this was the one that would bring you down:
Yessss! I’m a mediocre guy. I live in a mediocre neighborhood. And I’m looking forward to some mediocre wine! p.s. I’m a Mediocre backer too!
@NightGhost Are we going to be able to see you around these parts more than the prior site?
@klezman You can’t see me. You can only see through me.
@NightGhost A rare ghost sighting.
Congratulations Casemates team! This will be fun!
We did it!
Can I bitch about summer shipping here?
Oh, and good luck!
@kaolis I read we have 5 years of global cooling coming, so we might get lucky.

@PetiteSirah Sorry. You’ll only get Brattery. That’s how it works here.
@corrado naturally I blame you
Truly awesome! So glad I’ve gotten in on the ground floor – so to speak!
Yay us!
so so very cool. Onward!!!
Over 1100 backers already. That makes me feel extra special:
@SSteve 1306 now

I’m just happy to have been told about it.
@DrunkCat me too!

@dave thanks for the explanation!
@time2testit Here yo go…

@ddeuddeg and for the minimal and white haired, this may be a bit of a challenge.
@rjquillin @ddeuddeg You might take a look at forum settings in your account: https://casemates.com/account

@ddeuddeg Still struggling as well (call me Luddite). And I’ll note we’ve not seen much from MdS here yet, that I can find…
@rjquillin he’s here, just haven’t seen much yet

@dave Great! Thanks! I’m still jazzed that Indiana wasn’t on the excluded list.

I’m in, how could I not be?
@eljefetwisted Whoo-hoo!!! I’m overjoyed and then some.

@eljefetwisted Yay! Great to see you here!
@eljefetwisted Just unpacked the mixed mystery case. Nice assortment and only a couple dupes of what I already had. Guess I just need more TO
My body is ready.
