@ScottW58
You missed Kendric!?
Yeah, don’t think I’ve heard of but one or two others either. The one a few years I went to, and quite enjoyed, in Paso had many more well known producers. the deets
and the wineries @winedavid49 anyone from up there coming down?
I love this event. We featured some of the Garagiste wineries on that other site a few years ago… They even come up to Sonoma now. I strongly encourage y’all to check it out. Super-small producers.
@klezman@rjquillin Hmm… figuring out our schedule. We’re looking at houses on the coast but plan on getting into town for a winery or two… I will advise if I make it to Turley!
Hey folks, Doug Minnick here - Co-Founder of the Garagiste Festivals. Thanks for your interest! I could talk about it all day, but here’s the main thing: We feature excellent, hard-to-find micro-wineries. One of the main points is that you won’t have heard of them…yet. It’s all about discovery.
80% of the wineries in Glendale don’t have tasting rooms and aren’t on the “wine country” maps. Only the winemakers/owners themselves pour.
Wineries of our size don’t have to concern ourselves with getting into supermarkets - we just don’t make enough wine for that. But that also means we are free to make only wines that we are passionate about. This is our eighth year and many wineries that you have heard of now started at earlier Garagiste Festivals. For example, all but a couple of the wineries that now have rooms in Tin City (Paso’s hot new tasting area) poured at earlier Garagiste Fests before they had a tasting room. And the beat goes on. There will be about 60 wineries in Glendale - from Napa, Sonoma, Paso, SBC, Mendocino, and more.
We recently won #1 Best Wine Festival in America in the USA Today Reader’s Poll. Here are a couple of articles about us:
@chipgreen@trifecta The original Dodge truck is on a vineyard in Paso. Since we started 8 years ago, we like to have some fun with the poster/image with each event we do, putting the truck in the location where the event will be. There are several iterations of the truck traveling to Solvang, Sonoma, various spots in LA, and of course, Paso. Did you notice the reflection in the windshield?
Thank you, @DougMinnick! Doug has offered Casemates customers 10% off tickets to the event. You will automatically get the 10% off at this link or use code CASEMATES at any other link.
Hmm not a lineup of wineries I have heard of, could be some gem’s I guess?

Bevela is on the list, I picked up their OLD FASHIONED SUPERSTITION SYRAH on BD back in Jan/Feb. Have enjoyed them.

Great to have you chime in Doug.
Did you just happen on the thread here, or did someone link it to you?
Hi @rjquillin, @neilfindswine linked me to it. We’re pals. Thx! Doug
@DougMinnick not wine related, but who’s truck is on the poster???
@DougMinnick @trifecta
According to the license plate, it is wine related.
