I always have been, but lately, more than ever. I’ve got a 11 year old son who thinks that stuff is cool, so a few years ago we started watching How the Universe Works. The fun part is that since we’ve been watching it, our understanding of (for example) black holes has increased, such that later episodes of HtUW has updated information. Really cool to see some of these things unfold. We learned a few years ago how Small black holes made sense (relatively at least), Large ones were undeniably there, all over, but we don’t understand how they came about, but it made sense at least that there are no Medium black holes. Well, since then, we discovered one. So a later episode deals with that. Very cool.
And quasars and pulsars are really cool. Far away from us.
