How to get good Pinot Gris/Grigio on the cheap?
0I’ve gotten very good over the last 10+ years at buying wine. (Woot/)Casemates, (deNegoce/)Camx, sprinkles of Meh/WTSO, one-off opportunities like the UC bankruptcy, etc. With the righth sources, experience, patience, and decisiveness I’ve gotten the good stuff. Though some require a little more patience than others, I can get the varietals/regions that I wish, on the cheap.
Except for good Pinot Grigio. It’s our favorite white, and we more and more appreciate white wine. I’ve considered just paying regular full price for the good stuff. A shocking idea!
I’ve combed through the Berserker Day listings for Pinot Grigio, but haven’t found any. For example, Goodfellow PG is fantastic, but he has not included it in his BD offers.
Do any of you have good sources or ideas? From Willamette, Cali, Italy, wherever. Is there a BD listing for Pinot Grigio that I’ve missed, for example? Is another ‘deal’ site periodically have good PG?

So what’s cheap? I live in the Willamette Valley, so lots of P.G. around here. Generally, $30/bottle is a lot and many come in under $20, though most are between $20-$30.
Two Portland-based retailers are worth looking at: Avalon and Vinopolis. No idea if they’ll ship to your state though. King Estate P.G. is well-regarded and they make a lot, so discounts will happen online.
I also saw that Hi Time in Costa Mesa, CA is running a sale on the 2022 Vireton (Archery Summit) for $15/bottle if bottle age is desirable. Haven’t tried it personally but 90 across the board from JS, Vinous, and Spectator.
